Loves2Shoot
http://shop.springerprecision.com/product.sc?productId=280&categoryId=10 It is a factory replacement trigger with an anodized finish. The benefit of an aluminum trigger is it has less flex than a plastic trigger giving you a crisper feel. The Springer Precision Trigger is stronger than the factorty plastic one. This fits all XDm models and calibers. It also fit XD .45 cal models. DOES NOT FIT XD 9/40 OR ANY XDS.
ToddKS
Would this be USPSA Production legal?
kcobean
Per Appendix D4 Item 21.6, this would not be Production Legal: "Any other components which are externally visible may ONLY be replaced with OFM parts which are offered on the specific model of gun or another approved gun from the same manufacturer except as specifically clarified below. Examples of external components which may only be replaced with OFM parts include (but are not limited to): magazine releases, slide stops, thumb safeties and triggers." OFM = Original Firearm Manufacturer. Sure is a purdy lookin' trigger though.

This matches the factory part.

That ruling was under John, I have a message in to Troy to verify that he will rule the same way. There is no real way for a RO to know who made the part if they are identical, and that was the logic used in the past. The XD 45 part is metal, so we really are just offering a metal part because SA won't sell them.

I can't see Troy ruling the other way (or why he'd revisit the previous ruling in the first place).
osis32
whats the advantage of aluminum over polymer for this gun? just less flex? I guess I dont run it hard enough to notice. Edited September 14, 2014 by osis32
Loves2Shoot
Less flex means that the pressure goes more directly to break the shot. This generally means you are more likely to break the shot without moving the sight. Edited September 14, 2014 by Loves2Shoot

bigdawgbeav
Can I use this with my PRP trigger?
Loves2Shoot
Can I use this with my PRP trigger? It is a factory replacement profile, so you would not have the overtravel stop the other system builds into the trigger.
bigdawgbeav
Got it but it would still work right? {sigh}... stop making me give all my money to you!

It would work, just not have the external overtravel stop. I am thinking about adding an overtravel stop into a version of them.
