ErikW
A lot of people were taping, especially when Eric and JJ shot. I think HeyQuicksDraw was taping. I wonder if he taped Mr. Toad's Wild Bus Ride. The results should eventually be posted at http://www.ipsc.org/results.php

ErikW
Good time on the bus ride? You must be talking about Sunday on the way back when it stopped in front of a bar and Z-Man returned with a cold case of Imperial bottles, the local brew, to distribute among the survivors, I mean passengers. That's when JJ won Stage 19. Best bus ride moment: Saturday morning, passing a fire truck with its lights and siren wailing, over the double yellow, uphill, in a blind curve. JMD
Best bus ride moment: Saturday morning, passing a fire truck with its lights and siren wailing, over the double yellow, uphill, in a blind curve. That was the secondary road guys. You had services if needed! <g> Joel

ErikW
I was told the medal presenter is Miguel's daughter. Yeah, people really enjoyed themselves at the awards. Whiskey bottles on the tables. Drinking from a glass not needed. I suspect Phil's induction into the Guatemalan Gold Drinking Team explains his absence here. He's probably still hung over. gmshtr
Yeah, that white-water rafting tour early the next morning wasn't easy! Thanks to the Costa Rica club for putting together a great match. As far as the Drinking Team goes...well, at least I won something while at the Columbus Cup! Phil
JMD
The young lady is indeed Marianne Yamuni. She is in her first year of university. The equally lovely woman distributing shirts was Ileana, her mother... and you thought Miguel just another pretty face. Eric Grauffel has an excellent picture of the old range on his website. Worth a look: http://grauffel.free.fr/Pictures/2003/Cost...s/Range_jpg.htm The old range was very close to the match hotel and just above one of the major rivers through SJ. Like everywhere in the world the club needed to find a spot where they could grow and not be encroached upon. I saw many flashes of brilliance which can only mean good things for the World Shoot. I hope you all enjoyed your stay and hope that you can find the time to truly explore one of the great nations of the world. Joel
dirtypool40
Just hit the scores finally and saw that a bunch-o-buds from FLORIDA representing Los Estados Unidos, took the team Open win. Felicidades to Timmy, Joey, Steve and Larry. My Gunsmith Derek finished well too. Too well, Get back to work on MY guns!!! I feel so stupid, I used to shoot with these guys all the time and never even tought to get autographs!!! I also noticed little "Carlito" Palmas ended up 3rd!! Yowza, we had to chase that quick little sucker all over Bolivia back in October. Good shooting guys. See in Equador.
