What about the Blazer .45 cases I reloaded for Limited - 10? :o

Not something I make a habit of doing, nor would I recomend anyone trying it. Loading any aluminum case other than a .45 is foolish. I do it because I can.

"Methinks he's referring to the original question, Doug"

Yep, could be. To play it safe, I will edit the post text & make it more polite & more in the spirit of the forum our host wants. Thanks Gorilla! D.

Any chrono team worth the name will collect ammo from the shooter and not from their bag or box. If you are going to clock one you gotta clock the whole crowd and it doesn’t matter if you “claim” you are shooting factory.

There is some interesting reading on the CCI web site about the development and manufacture of the AL case:

JD - .45 ACP blazer has gone through 2 types of aluminum cases; the older cases were berdan & one had to remove the center post to load a boxer primer (only tried that once). The lastest cases have a weird double flash hole - each hole is a semi-circle. THese load OK w/ regular boxer primers. D.
