exmr2sw
Was surfing around online and came across this. Seems like a great idea instead of just wiping the lens off with a cotton patch or lens pen. Link below for the product. http://www.theshooterssource.com/drool-carbon-remover-p-20263.html

rooster mcbee
Does it work differently than Windex? Is it for the lense or diode?

IHMSA15151
That looks interesting. I'm thinking I might order some but if vinegar does the same thing I'll try that. Is there any issue with vinegar removing the lens coating?
Guest
+2 for white vinegar or cider vinegar. Doesn't harm the lens and cleans haze off really well. Use some sight savers lens cleaning wipes or isopropyl alcohol to finish the job if you want.
scottlep
I use a product that is used for cleaning the glass in wood stove doors. It is made by Rutland. It has silicone in it to help protect the glass and make it easier to clean next time. It is made for high temp wood stove glass and won't scratch or damage the cmore glass. I have been using it for a few years and have never had a problem. Here is a link for it at one of the big box stores. I also keep a microfiber towel in my range bag and wipe the glass between each stage at a match.
