Why not go 9x23 instead of 9x25? Same performance as .357 magnum if that's what you're after and will really simplify your life in terms of the reloading process. I have a 9x23 reamer if you decide to go that route.

On the plus side, 9x23 uses a 9mm breach face & will get an extra round or 2 in the mag but, brass is probably just as difficult or worse because 9x25 can be made from 10mm brass...

Hey Guys!! Was out of town last week. I like the fact that my original post about the 9 x 25 is still being talked about. Someone earlier asked if I considered that my friend was joking when he said that this project would be right up my alley. I am quite sure that he knows that I have a sickness about MAGNUM handguns, so if I get a 9mm, I'm going to get the biggest. I am a red blooded redneck AMERICAN!!! Thats how we Roll :roflol:

LC- Last I checked the .44 Rem Mag was about 444 power factor and the 9mm major was about 180 power factor. I'm not that good at math, but if you're that interested in power, then check it out.

As for being a "red blooded redneck American", well, I still bleed red, I served my country /society for twenty years and I also worked manual labor for 12 years (if that's what you mean by redneck). Take care and go with God.

Make a comp with the last port inverted.

Then go shoot a prone stage.

The gunsmith that originally built a few of my open guns was a big 9x25 shooter. He said the best thing to do was to start adding side ports to the comp until it shot flat.

Just wanted to say thank you to all of you that have helped me and my new build!! Like I stated earlier, I got in touch with SVI and was told that they would make me a barrel. The only drawback with SVI is that they will only make a Para\Clark barrel. The frame that I will be using for my 9 x 25 is a Springfield Armory RO 9mm, which has a Wilson\Nowlan. My friend has been helping me track down some leads also. Apparently Hill Country Rifles in New Braunfels Texas is getting into pistolsmithing. They recently bought out New Braunfels Gun Works. I think I will end up going with them. They get their barrels from KKM and he said he can rent the reamer. He also worked many years for STI, and they are close by.
