SSGJohnV
Hey All, I recently got some 200 grain SWC from bayou and am just checking to make sure that my thinking is in the right ballpark. I have a load for 200 grain lead SWC with Clays (4.0 grains IIRC, I could be wrong) at 1.245 OAL. Are there any reasons I can't just transfer this load over? I'm going to chrono these to make sure they make PF of course, but am I missing something right off the bat? Thanks. -John
onebadeye
I use 4.1 no problem, It's a great load
FLSlim
Lead or Bayou coated, I use the same powder loads. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
noylj
In general, if there is going to be more bullet inside the case (i.e., shorter nose on SWC), then it is best to drop 1-2% and work up. If dimensions are "the same," then it is mostly a drop-in replacement.
dsa
I need 4.4gr Clays with an oal of 1.265" to make 850fps out of a 5" Kart barrel.
Steve RA
I use 4.2 gr as it is the most accurate in my gun.
