EricW
I have a MkI and would like to clean up the trigger a bit. Anyone have wise words about how to proceed? Anything I should *not* do? BTW, are the trigger components between the MkI and the MkII mostly the same? Can I put in MkII parts from Clark? Any good "drop in" trigger kits people would recommend? Thanks! shred
I dropped a Volquartsen trigger in my Ruger MK II. Improved trigger pull immensely, although still not quite up to high-end match standards.

Matt Cheely
I also have a Ruger MK1 that my dad bought for my grandfather 20 some years ago. Grandpa then gave it to me when I turned 18. I put in a volquartsen trigger and stoned the stock sear and hammer to give a very crisp trigger pull. Also added a super heavy barrel weight, volquartsen comp and rear sight. I shoot bowling pins with it down at my local club and win every time... not that it's all in the gun, but the trigger sure does help.
