ktm300
I am thinking about shooting some production. Found an SP01 Shadow Target and it's a nice gun. Doing some dry fire with it I find the gun fits well in my hand and comes up on target. The trigger breaks so far back in the guard my finger is well past 90 degrees when it breaks. That is causing me some issues with keeping the sights still when the hammer falls. I might be able to work it out but....... Is there a production legal way to move the break farther forward? If so how far can it be moved? On a 1911 - 2011 I would just buy a wider (front to back) trigger.
racerba
Maybe thicker grips?
GuildSF4
Should be allowed per this: (If you want th be sure send an email to John Amidon) (FromUSPSA rules Appendix D4) 21.5 Exchange of minor INTERNAL components INTERNAL parts: This clause is NOW interpreted (strikers, sears, springs, connectors/disconnectors, to mean that a broad range of INTERNAL parts may and other wholly-internal parts) be modified or replaced – either with OEM or aftermarket parts. Special Notes/Clarifications: • Strikers, sears, springs, connectors/disconnectors, and any other part which is NOT visible when the gun is in battery is considered an INTERNAL part and may be modified or replaced unless otherwise prohibited in these provisions (see section 22 for specific prohibitions). • Guide rods are considered an “internal part” and may be modified and/or replaced with OEM or aftermarket guide rods even though part of the guide rod is externally visible when the gun is in battery. Note that the weight limits in D4-18 remain in force and relevant. Edited to add appendix Edited January 14, 2014 by GuildSF4
sperman
I would talk to Stuart or Mathew Mink. I would think you could make changes to the sear, which is an internal part, so it should be legal.

kneelingatlas
Do you have the new style trigger? The old style can get your finger a little further forward: Old: New: As you can see the old style starts pretty far forward in DA, so if you want to move the SA forward more dramatically, it's going to take some customizing of the trigger bar, disco and/or hammer. ktm300
I will have to look at the trigger to see which one is on the gun. I think it is the new style.
sperman
The new style sucks, IMO.

sperman
CZ custom has the old style in stock, if you need one. I bought a spare list time I ordered, because when they run out, they can stay out of stock for several months.
kneelingatlas
I superimposed the three CZ trigger styles I'm aware of:
