Twardca
I have been using these and they seem to work well. Wish they were heavier though. http://www.stactionpro.com/12-gauge-action-trainer-p-8.html
rgvwheeler
The price on those is pretty good. Have you weighed them?

chevyoneton
I am glad I bought a box of the Fiocchi dummies before they became unobtainium. I really like them and they have held up well. Prior to getting the dummys I did practice with live shells but did not like doing it. I was just loading and removing them from the tube, I did not run live shells through the chamber. My daughter likes the Fiocchi shells, she laughed and said "they say Dummy". Before I got a timer I had her time my reloads with a stop watch program on her little toy tablet computer. Bill Schwab
There's someone on eBay selling 12 gauge dummies that were reloaded from empties, but they're not cheap, here's a link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bs-DRY-FIRE-Snap-Caps-Dummy-12-Gauge-Training-Rounds-6-Brighty-Whiteys-/300957565363?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item46127801b3#ht_931wt_1362

Gentleman4561
I also had a friend make me some. He used tumbling media in place of powder. I then put a bit of super glue around the crimp and they have yet to fall apart!
