TriggerMeister
Need some suggestions for a 9mm major load for a STI based shorty with KKM barrel and Akai comp. (Added 10/21). Full description of the gun the load is needed for: Shorty, shoto comp, 2 x .125 popple holes per akai's suggestion, kkm 1/32, 17 main spring, 9lb recoil. Long shot felt great but to short of a gun to consistently make major with before it plateaus. Autocomp felt snappy and didn't seem like it worked the comp. If you have a load suggestion, can you please specify: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Barrel length: Comp: Popple Holes: (yes/no, how many, what size) Bullet Mfg: Bullet Weight: Powder: Powder Weight: Primer Mfg: Primer Type: (Pistol/Rifle) OAL: Crimp: Chrono'd FPS: Overall observations: (Felt good, snappy, cycling speed, etc.) Edited October 22, 2013 by TriggerMeister

TriggerMeister
Montana Gold HP and Longshot and Autocomp right now, as well as some powders that are probably not so suited for 9mm major....

Hi-Power Jack
MG HP and Autocomp Both excellent choices. How much WAC you need depends on which weight MG JHP you're using (115, 121 or 124 grain) and your individual gun. You need to start low, and slow, and work up slowly with a Chrono. TriggerMeister
I just updated the original post. Hopefully this will yield a good post for not only me but other's in the future. There is lots of load data out there, but nothing comprehensive that I've found. Thanks! Edited October 22, 2013 by TriggerMeister

TriggerMeister
thank you xSTONEx! The HS-6 works great! Very flat without the blow to the face of longshot. I think this is a winner.
