Newer production m&p triggers/barrel question

I read S&W recently (2012-2013) made changes to the stock trigger and barrel for the M&P. Does anyone have any experience with them? Do you still want an aftermarket trigger or barrel?

I don't notice much if any difference between my KKM and my new factory barrel in my backup gun. I would/did still upgrade the trigger though.

One of my friends got one about 3 months ago, but I don't know if that recently enough to answer your question. The trigger was horrid, one of the worst mp triggers I've seen, but that was nothing that apex parts can't fix. Accuracy was good.

My understanding is that the new 9mm 5 inch barrels are now 1:10 twist vs 1:16 twist.

Had mine a couple of weeks. It was factory test fired 9/9/13. I am very disappointed in it. Front sight was badly misaligned from the factory. Trigger is 6 lbs, gritty and with a lot of creep. Those two things can be remedied. My best 5 shot 25 yard group from a sandbag rest was 5 3/8 inches. Most were two inches worse than that. I first wondered if it was me. I then shot my friend's Glock 34 from the same rest and it shot 3 3/4 inch groups.

I sent my M&P 9mm Pro back to S&W a couple of weeks ago, shot it for the first time in a match after receiving it and noticed a marked improvement with the new barrel. I managed a 12 shot off hand group about the diameter of a soft drink can at about 15-20 yards. Never could do that well with it before.

I just got my M&P 40 and the new barrel is better then then my old M&P. They say the trigger is better but its still pretty bad IMO. I got a new barrel (9mm conversion) and it shoots just as good as my stock barrel.
