John Baier
Hey guys, Just wondering if Blade-tech's DOH is still legal for production in USPSA. Thanks for the input -John
D.Hayden
It's not considered a race holster... so yes. There's no legal holster list, just the "If it looks like a duck.." test It's not legal for IDPA if you want to use it for both.
warpspeed
It's legal for USPSA Production and if you buy one of their Tek-Loc clips, you can make it IDPA legal simply by removing the DOH belt attachment and replacing it with the Tek-Loc. Jake Di Vita
Yeah it's legal...from my experience not necessary. I could actually draw faster by almost .2 out of my regular blade-tech after playing with the DOH a lot. You can get .6 draws out of a regular holster, just requires practice. Jake, having met you I know why it's not necessary for you. Skinny youngsters may see no benefit from the DOH, wind resistant older folks may see draw times drop by a tenth or more.... Patrick Sweeney
And those of us with a high (and still trim) waist and long arms find the DOH is necessary to keep the gun out of our armpits on the draw.

Vince Pinto
There's no legal holster list, just the "If it looks like a duck.." test. But don't forget the following new requirements in the "green book": 23. Competition holsters of the race gun type specifically not allowed. For clarification: ALL retention features of the holster MUST be used. All holsters must fully cover the trigger when the pistol is holstered. The front of holsters for autos may be cut no lower than ¼-inch below the ejection port. Revolver holsters may be cut no lower than half way down the cylinder.
