Why is there a shortage of Barrels right now?

My gunsmith was complaining its hard to find barrels right now, and im building a rifle for a LEO friend and sure as **** I'm having trouble finding a good quality barrel. seems like everyone is out of stock.

whats the backstory? anyone in the industry know what the deal is?

1 other major brand also,30.00 over.

if that is the reason he has them them then look elswher

You sure we are talking about the same website? The website I listed is an aggregate of ar parts from dealers around the Internet. The website itself sells nothing. If a dealer is overpriced, that's the fault of the dealer and not the information aggregate. Just trying to pass on helpful info. I think your post was a little misguided.
