Onepocket
Looking to sand the finger groves off my glock. Anyone on here ever done this before. I have an old 17L with out the finger groves and I seem to get a better grip. Suggestions.

DMH
If you have access to an upright belt sander that's the best way to go. I've done it a few times, not hard and looks/feels really nice if you re-texture lightly with a soldering gun or a wood burning tool.
Sarge
Just know that if it is a Production legal gun, it won't be after you get finished with it.

JimmyZip
You can use a mild rasp to get the nubbins close to flush, then a block cut to size you like, and start with 80, go to 150, then 220. Belt sanders are good, but they can take it off quick, and this way is much slower. Also though, you can keep clearing off the plastic from the grit and this will not take all day. Dremels work well to, as do die grinders. Just be sure you feel comfortable with whatever you use so that you can get the results you wish. steviesterno
so I was reading the rules and can't figure out if we're allowed to do this for GGSF? any pointers?
practical_man
I use a mill bastard file followed with dremel and then fine sandpaper backed with a block. Same technique I use for hogue monogrips. It isn't difficult at all. Like other things, you might be nervous your first time but you will still enjoy the outcome
razerok1
I thought the 17L wasn't legal for production... sand away cause you can only shoot in L, L10, open anyway.
