midget
I have been working on my Spartan off and on for a while and finally decided to just bead blast the thing. Well I kind of fell in love with the 2 tone look that it game it. It is my understanding that the Spartan frame is not stainless and needs to have some sort of finish on it to protect it from rusting. What are my options that would still keep this same look? Clear coat? Here is a reference picture:
sperman
Hard chrome would be my recommendation.
wdlong1
Yep, you are pretty much limited to chrome if you want that look. You could ceracoat it, but regardless of what they say, ceracoat wears pretty darn quick. Especially on the parts that come in contact with the kydex holster. RIIID
Electroless nickel with Teflon will do it. Rich
GuildSF4
I would go with hard chrome. All the nickle finishes I have seen are shiny, the type RIID is referring to may be different though.
