Fuelie777
I measured the trigger pull on my single stack, without the grip safety and get one value, and when I add the grip safety, it the value goes up from 3 to 4 ounces of trigger pull weight. I am looking for what might be dragging on the inside to look for. Thanks.
okshootist
You can check to see if the trigger stirrup is dragging on the bottom of the grip safety arm with layout fluid or a marker. But, more than likely, the slight increase in trigger pull is because when you add the grip safety, it puts pressure on the corresponding leg of the sear spring. 3 to 4 ounces wouldn't be unusually high. Aircooled6racer
Hello: Check to see if the hammer strut is hitting the grip safety slot. Also check to see if the grip safety is hitting the sear spring. Thanks, Eric
Fuelie777
Thank you, I will look at both items closely.
Steve RA
You could cut the grip safety portion of the spring off and pin the grip safety. That would do away with your problem. Remember, if you have an operable grip safety in a match, someday it will bite you when you don't get a good grip on the gun !!!
