theycallmeingot
I guess this is the right place for this type of question. I have a bi-tone xdm 5.25. I want to make the cocking serrations black. or... the flat area between them, rather. Any ideas on what kind of paint/fingernail polish/marker/etc would hold up to the heat and be pretty opaque so the stainless isn't shining through? Andrew PS. this is a picture i found on google. I don't know what the greasy nasty looking stuff on the slide is.
B_Seehawer
Maybe mask off the areas you don't want black and spray a bake on finish on there. Brad

steel1212
Cerakote is far superior to duracoat as far as wear and tear goes. My 1911 and my CZ shadows are both done and show little to no wear and I dry fire A LOT!
bobert1
I have the same gun. I went with a red theme. I used a red Sharpie and then applied a coat of clear finger nail polish. Has held up well so far. The price was right too.

jordonhurd
Model paint might work for the areas inside the serrations. Not sure, just a thought.
