Aglifter
Dad has decided that, "my guns are cool, and his aren't, so I need to pick a gun for him." I handled a Witness at the SHOT show, and they seem great - the EAA folks were quite rude, though. (Bit torn about doing business w. people like that.) Would a limited, in 9MM work well stock? Is there a better option?
warpspeed
Take a look at the CZ stuff. The CZ guys are certainly not rude.

PHX
Cant go wrong with a match or limited. If he is going to uspsa get a limited. If its a range gun then get a match.
J-Ho
+1 on the Match. Awesome gun for the money. Don't expect too much from EAA customer service (although last time I called it went well, surprisingly) If you need parts or upgrades talk to Henning. He is a forum dealer
Nealio
You can run these guns stock and they work pretty well. Then you can throw a minimal amount of money and parts at it to make it a great gun if you want.
