sschultz
Has anyone had a bolt lightened on a gas gun. I did a search and I see its common on the M1 and M2. But I did not see that anyone has done it on a gas gun. Schultz

benny hill
I just turned a versamax into a great shotgun and lightened & fluted the bolt.

carbon9
I am curious what it would do for a gas gun as well, BUT(i could be wrong, often am) from what I gather the Bennington/Remelli Versa Max is an inertia operated shotgun like a Benelli. Personally, I feel, if you want to see what Benny's work looks like you should send your gun to Benny and pay him your hard earned $$$ to compensate him for his time, research and his own hard earned $$$ he has put into learning what he knows. You'll even get a reliability guarantee along with an amazing shotgun.
michael1778
".....from what I gather the Bennington/Remelli Versa Max is an inertia operated shotgun like a Benelli." Remington's web site (unlinkable since I'm a new member? interesting.....) calls out this as one of the VersaMax features: "Versaport™ gas system regulates cycling pressure based on shell length" This would seem to be a gas-operated action. The Versaport system allows different numbers of gas ports to be unobstructed based on shell length, according to their product video. I don't own one of these, but I've been looking at one for purchase.
