Rifle benchrest primes in a 38 SC

My gun builder said I should use Winchester rifle primes in my 38 SC because of pressure I have 2 or 3 thousand benchrest primers Remington and federal any body know if they will work the same as regular rifle primers.

BR primers are the best of the batches of primers from what I've been told. They often are magnum primers also. Fed and Win are the softest so will usually work in a race gun with a light main spring. Don't know about the rems

I tried Remingtons, and was getting at least 20% misfires, requiring second and sometimes third strikes. Stopped using them.

+1 Remington rifle primers are about the thickest, hardest ones around.

You might trade your BR's for some SRP's. You should come out way ahead.
