fritzthemoose
I have a match on Saturday, but my spend primer tube is clocked. I cannot get it clear while still in the press How can it be removed? Can it be screwed down or do I have to remove the whole head? Any advise anyone? SLM
It's pressed in about 1/4". You can remove it by grabbing it and pulling down while wiggling it. Just go easy so you don't bend it.
GregJ
Yes, it's a press fit. I've found grabbing it with pliers and twisting slightly while pulling down works best for me.
KPIC24
You know what is worse, when you don't know when its clogged and it falls out and spills 200 spent primers on the floor. Its a bugger to get the 2 thats are jamming it all up, get a coat hanger ready.
noylj
The press should have come with a plastic tube. Primers will sometimes separate the anvil from the cup and jam up. Push UP to remove them. If you can pull the tube off, good. That will prevent the primers from spilling all over the press and floor. On my Co-Ax press, there is a plastic bottle to collect the primers. I always keep it empty enough that I can hear the primers drop into the bottle. Mush from PA.
I took the plastic tube to Lowes or Home Depot (I can't remember which) and bought a longer plastic tube. Now the plastic tube reaches to the floor into a trash can that collects the spent primers. I empty the trash can at the end of a reloading session and no clogged plastic tube.
