I would expect that your minor load will not allow Power Pistol to perform at its best.

I'm seeing some much lower charges for Power Pistol than Alliant has listed on their website. I'm trying to develop a minor load with power pistol using 124 gr Montana Gold JHP and Win SP primers. I tried three charges, 6 gr, 6.2 gr, and 6.4 gr, all having an OAL of 1.130" and all three, while showing pretty good accuracy by hitting about point of aim at 45 yds, seemed a bit stout compared to most standard pressure loads I've fired. Alliant lists 6.4 gr and an OAL of 1.125" for 124 gr JHP. Do these charges seem a bit much for those of you who have used them?

The loads I listed were for lead. Below is my compilation of jacketed loads.

Have you considered WSF or Zip. These powders are a bit more suited for PF 135.

Here are some of my numbers out of my 4.75" Tanfoglio (polygonal barrel)

124gr Speer TMJ - 5.1gr Power Pistol = 1050fps average

124gr Xtreme plated - 5.1gr Power Pistol = 1110fps average

Trying different powders for cast bullets instead of tightgroup bought somw WST and power pistol. Hoping to get some info and try power pistl first.

9mm 125 grain cast over 4.3 grains of WST will get you about 1060 FPS. Shoots pretty good too!
