Canuck223
I've had two 1050's, but never loaded .38 special on either until today. I believe the adaptor kit includes the medium casefeed slide, and I know the small size is just a bit too small. However, I'm getting indexing problems and jams as the medium adapter seems to be a little too generous. I'm tempted to buy a spare small adapter and mill it out to clear the rims. Anyone else find this problem or have a solution?
RePete
Dave: The rim thicknesses on the brass is more likely the culprit. I get problems between Federal and Winchester, let alone the rest. I'm thinking I might sort by headstamp.
DougCarden
One thing to check is to make sure the shellplate is tight, screwed down all the way. If it will "spring" when you push down on the edge you will have problems like this. Something to try anyway... DougC
Tom Freeman
I lightly break the shellplates sharp edges to help 38 Special/Short Colt brass feed better. After a while I did it to all my 1050 shellholders.
noylj
I can not help. Have loaded tens of thousands on my 1050 and never had a problem. I would verify that the parts are the correct parts and call Dillon before I would think to DIY.
