Big Guy
Just found a crack below the ejection port. I understand the mini-strokers have a "modified" slide in order extend the stroke. For those of you that run ministrokers and had to replace the slide, which way did you go? Called DP to get a replacement stroker slide or just change the slide to a regular slide? Kriojas
I would call Dawson
yoshidaex
I concur with Kriojas. I'm not familiar with the mini stroker concept (though i did have a slide modified by Dawson) but I would think changing to a normal style slide may change the dynamics of the gun. 818-DVC
Dave just reissued practical advantage slides. pretty sure he can retool and run the old Mini stroker slide for you and fix it good as new.
BlueOvalBruin
I think they mentioned in the description for the practical advantage slides that they were recently found and had limited quantity, they were probably made a few years back. I'm sure they can do something for you though. Call them up and ask, can't hurt.
want2race
I've built a couple of strokers, a good gunsmith with a mill should be able to duplicate your existing slide. That is if Dawson can't get to it.
Big Guy
Pending a return call from Dawson. Thanks for the input.
Braxton1
I've got a Stroker in Super. No problems at all, but I am primarily a Prod/Lim guy now, so the gun is still relatively low-mileage. (Like having a 67 Corvette Stingray with 26,000 miles on it....) The modifications to the slide to create a Stroker are up in the area of the recoil spring tunnel, not below the ejection port. Am I just missing something, but I wouldn't think that those mods would cause a crack in the ejection port area.
