Chris Keen
Very good stuff. On a personal note ... being 42 years old and shooting a little better each year, I found the article very inspiring. Thanks Jake.
Chris iliff
I hope I shoot as well as Keen when I'm 42. Crap, that was 2 years ago.
old506
What a moment. I was young but I remember, it was great. One of the greatest things about shooting is a 70-80+ year old guy with an open gun on his belt moving slow(er) but smart and at the end of the day finding themselves well within the upper half of the overall. I find it very honorable and inspiring to witness a man who has been shooting 60+ years and most certainly the future of our sport.
benos
The triumph will live forever, but not just because the Golden Bear closed with six birdies and an eagle over the final 10 holes. That gave me the chills. be

E K
Jack Nicklaus has said that he never hit a shot in competition that he didn't first visualize.. thats why he was the best.. Good article Jake Jack has also claimed to have never missed a putt to lose a match. When questioned about his comment and made aware of a tournament where he did lose because of a missed putt, he told the reporter he was mistaken. The reporter was actually right, obviously. Jack's point, though, was that he only remembered the ones he made.
