sperman
I've had chemicals take the anodizing off of aluminum. Because of this, I only use WD-40 in my Ultrasonic cleaner. It does a good job of breaking down grease and gunpowder residue, and I don't have any worries about corrosion or damaging finishes.
Steve J
I never had any problems with blued finishes and the L&R cleaning solution, but I also use 1:10 Simple Green:water now. It's cheaper and does just as good a job. I know for a fact that the L&R cleaning solution pits/dissolves aluminum, so don't any aluminum parts in it.
