DyNo!
What would your 9mm load be if there was not a power factor? I plan on shooting my standard minor load for outlaw 3-gun but for shiggles, I'm down to experiment.
DWFAN
minimum dose of titegroup under a 147gr jacketed hp minimum dose of Solo1000 under a 147 gr Lead/Moly
BMartens
Soft is a 147 gr bullet around 850 fps. Whatever will get you in that range is good. In 9mm I use WSF with lead bullets and Titegroup with jacketed or plated bullets. There are lots of options.
DWFAN
and be prepared to respring the gun possibly below 130-125 pf..
bikerburgess
I shoot 158g LRN at about 825fps for production 130pf and very soft, with no power floor I may go down to 650 fps with Clays. Mike
jar
I'd keep shooting my production load (147 moly at 900-915fps with Solo 1000). When I was working it up, my gun didn't run lighter loadings that well, and accuracy was actually better at 134PF also.
sirveyr
I've got some 147 molys that are screaming along at around 570fps. Don't ask...
gng4life
When you get into really low PF, you have to do things like lighten the slide, re-spring everything, ensure everything is very polished and there are no hangups, etc. I'm working on a steel gun now and going through those pains now. Probably better to stay with the 125-135 PF loads so you don't have to do these things...Just a thought...
Jman
For 9mm... 3.4 regular CLAYS under a 124/125 grain bullet @ 1.155 OAL (130 PF) Soft doesn't adequately describe it. I am sure you'll keep in mind that "light loads" account for more bad gun function than just about everything else. Cycling, feeding, extraction and ejection. The whole enchilada. Remember, gas is good. Jim
njl
I've got some 147 molys that are screaming along at around 570fps. Don't ask... Some of my first .45acp loads ran just about that slow...and the brass just fell out of the gun.
