Bigpops
Don't forget the $50 in cover charges and $15 martinis at the "ultra-lounge" that your wife will convince you will be fun to go to. Really? $50 to walk into your door. <sigh> Oh well, the wife was happy and you you know what they say. Happy wife, happy life. Also, plan on spending some money at the many charitable organizations that help single moms and cash strapped college girls just trying to get through next semester. gotta ask...what is the "ultra lounge"? The generic term for super nice drininking/dancing/lounging establishment in one of the many hotel/casinos on the strip. They are typically frequented by the "stars" when they choose to visit LV. I was in Ghostbar for a few hours and I didn't run into Vogel, Sevigny, or TGO, so I'm not too sure what stars really frequent these stupid placed. mgood
I shipped the ammo to American Shooters around 2 weeks before I got there via UPS. I know it was over $100 bucks...not sure the exact cost though. That being said, this can be all irrelevant if the Nationals doesn't take place in Las Vegas next year. $200???? I shipped my ammo via UPS, and it only cost me $21 to ship 600 rounds of .40 from Ohio to Vegas. It looks like GamingGoddess is shipping all the way from Afghanistan. I don't remember the timing for certain, but I think she was in the US at that time.

I though it might be the lounges that have "legends" preformances. I REALLY dislike those places!

I only visit the "ultra's" that my hotel will give me a free pass to. I really dont want to hang out with Paris or Lindsay anyways.
joecichlid
$270 match fee $300 round trip airfare from Kansas City to Vegas non-stop on Southwest Airlines booked 6 months out. $18 to ship 500 rounds of .38 Super $250 for room and rental car but this was my half when split with Boz Food can go from one extreme to the other depending on your tastes, where you eat and such. I think I spent around $100 for my food but then again I was only eating two meals a day most days. Passing out in the hotel room at 4 in the afternoon cuts down on the cost of dinner. lol With all of that and add in the ammo I shot, right at 400 rounds, I spent about $1000. If you shop around a bit you can find a hotel off the strip that might include breakfast for free which would save a bit. Add in a microwave in the room and a fridge and you can save a little more. But there are a few must hit eatin spots in town, Pacific Seafood Buffet on Sahara is one of them. Lunch for four including drinks was $35 and it was darned good food, not to mention on the way back to the hotel from the range! If you are really on a tight budget there are a lot of places you can cut costs and picking where you eat will be a huge factor there. I have started a fund for next year just in case I get a slot once more. Joe W.

Hi-Power Jack
In order to plan better for next year (yes we blew it this year) I was curious if anyone has a financial breakdown of the cost to attend the Nationals? Mama and I plan on going next year and a cost estimate would be nice. Feel free to PM me if you wish to keep it private...or to avoid letting a spouse know the actual cost! Thanks, Steve The biggest hidden cost is "weight gain" - damn Buffets - I gained about 7 lbs ... But, it was great:::

I know it was over $100 bucks...not sure the exact cost though. That being said, this can be all irrelevant if the Nationals doesn't take place in Las Vegas next year. How did it get that pricey? I shipped my ammo (500 rounds 40, 180gr) UPD ground from Massachusetts to Las Vegas for $29.57 from a UPS depot. If you are really on a tight budget there are a lot of places you can cut costs and picking where you eat will be a huge factor there. Taco Bell on the right when you are heading from the hotel to the range, Del Taco on the right when you are headed back from the range.

Yeah, but then you're spending money on bottled water to compensate for the diarrhea-caused dehydration.
