I am a USPSA Shooter and enjoy pretty much all shooting sports. I am a Glock-O-Holic, But have nothing against 1911's, XD's or M&P's, I prefer the GLOCK. USPSAShooter Posted September 5, 2010 Share Posted September 5, 2010 What's up GunOneDown? So you're a Glock shooter huh? I promise not to hold that against you, just kidding. I have nothing against Glock shooters or their products really, but I prefer my Ruger SR9. I have kids that I'm teaching to shoot so I like the fact that I have an external thumb safety. The only thing I don't like about Glocks are the fact that the only safety is not pulling the trigger basically. Other than that I think the Glocks are a great competition piece especially in production division in USPSA. I also like my SR9 for a lot of the same reasons that make the Glock a great piece because it is like a Glock with Ruger's Made in the USA reliability and external safety.
