Viggen
Some folks like a smooth feel on a revo like Jerry's grips. Some like a more sticky feel like the synthetic Pach or Hogue. Having seen and used some semi-auto's that have used skateboard tape instead of getting checkering done, I got to wondering if anyone had combined something like Jerry's grips with a touch of the skateboard tape on the backstrap or even a little on the front to increase control a little. I would expect folks who doing a strong hand reload on the revo not likely to think of such a thing but how about the ones who do a weak hand reload and don't need to come off the grip? Anybody tried checkering or SB tape? Any opinions?
bountyhunter
I use it on the left side of the frame behind the cylinder where my LH thumb rests (just above the grip). I get a little better grip that way. For grips I just use Pachmayr Gripper grips and they work the best for me.
spook
I use sand mixed with paint. The skateboard tape kept moving around. It helps a great deal. Especially combined with stuff like ProGrip. It increased control significantly.
dillon
I use the A-grip in sheet form to cut strips that I wraped around my Miculek grip. Works great, less abraisive than the skateboard tape.
underlug
I use a touch of skateboard tape at the top of the backstrap to key my high handhold and, sometimes, a very thin line down the back of the grip to give a tactile indication of where my right hand is gripping the gun. It isn't enough to interfere with my now right hand reload. When I reloaded lefty, I used more.
