joshua
Ramshot carries the same powder under a different name, it's "Silhouette". The data they have for that powder is the same as Winchester's WAP data. I haven't tried the Ramshot yet, hard to find around my neck of the woods. josh
Duane Thomas
Bruce Gray has called WST, "The powder WAP wanted to be when it grew up." He didn't feel the pain when WAP was discontinued.
TBF
Silhouette is WAP. Ramshot denies that it is the exact same powder, but the data is identical, and so are the " cornmeal grits " it leaves behind in 45acp loads. I would imagine loaded to higher pressure it would burn much cleaner. Travis F.
DougCarden
WAP/ Shillouette is the best mid-bore (.355) powder I have used, and use it exclusively in the 10mm as well. It is good in 38super/9supercomp.etc. as well. Give it a try, you can get some higher velocities with it as it is a slower powder. DougC
MVZ
I shoot a CGW built S_I 38 super and have never used anything other than WAP. Ive tried other powders and can't find anything better. HS6 is very very very close as is the Ramshot. WAP is extremly hard to find and when I do I buy it all. DVC MVZ
gm iprod
Similar burn rate to WW571, Silhouette, Blue Dot, v v 3n37 and HS7. Hot sure why Winchester discontinued, very good in 38Super Major with 121-125gr JHP, but I heard that it did not sell well, as there were too many powders in and around the same burnrate and Winchester were getting creamed.
