Powder disposal

I bought several thousand reloaded 9mm and 45 ACP rounds for a VERY low price. Because they're unknown I'm pulling the bullets and dumping the powder to reload with my recipe. My question is how to dispose of the powder. Can I simply soak in water and toss in the trash bag or will it be volitile when it dries out in a landfill? Neighbors are too close to spark it off in the backyard. Any ideas?

I've been told that the nitrates in powder are good for your plants , so I dump it into my cactus garden.

Use it as fertilizer - it is high in nitrogen content.

Better yet, just send the offending rounds to me and I'll take care of them for you.

Crapola, too many green ideas, I like the idea of making a long dragon's tale of it and sparking it off!
