Scott F
I'm not new to shooting. But, I am new to reloading. I bought my Dillon 550B from Brian and am initially reloading .45ACP. My current load is 4.7 grs Bullseye, 230 gr. FMJ Zero bullets, my range brass and Remington large pistol primers. So far, that load is working out well. I've tried it in two of my Govt Model 1911's with no issues. Looking to eventually switch to LSWC in .45ACP and then begin 9mm reloads.

Scott F
Welcome to the forum? What are your shooting interests? IDPA? USPSA? Plinking? Bill I belong to a pistol club and we have regularly scheduled matches. IDPA style and steel matches. I typically use my STI Trojan in 9mm for those matches. But, I may start using .45ACP since I started to reload. If I do that, I'll likely use my Springfield TRP for the matches.

AlamoShooter
if you go to visit you Son, Austin has a great club and a bit farther San Antonio can provide a match every weekend. Like this past weekend, Austin had its USPSA match on Saturday and I had our Steel Match -just North of San Antonio on Sunday. Your pistol club sounds much like the activities we have at DPC in Carrollton. We started a new 'kind' of steel match last summer, Tuesday After Work, and we're beginning anew again this May. Bring your Trojan or TRP - you'll have a blast.
