  1. To be fair, after reading all this a while back I decided to just abuse the poor thing. Lol. I ran everything through it. Walmart boxes from idk how many years ago, about six different loads from my local hunting box store to see what she likes. It ran everything. I really don’t feel like it’ll let me down as long as I do my part and clean it and replace springs when needed. Heck, I’m confident enough to take it out for spring turkey once I found out there’s no plug requirements
  2. Ah. That’s close-ish to me. I’ve heard really good things about greenops in VA. I haven’t taken there’s yet, but intend on it this summer when their practical shooting class comes back. A lot of the big end shooters run classes as well but they are normally out of my price range and to far.
  3. Where are you located? Any travel restrictions such as radius you’d like to stay in?
  4. This, to me, is key. Having the confidence to be able to turn it up a notch without the fear of slipping will allow you to get rid of any subconscious fear. If I’m wearing running shoes and training in the backyard with dew on the ground, I feel myself slowing down a lot. All because I know I can slip and an ACL tear doesn’t sound fun lol.
  5. Back to the hammer I go then. I’d love to make it pass without question.
  6. I felt like I really had to pound on mine to get it to flatten.
  7. I wish I knew how to upload my pictures to better show what I mean but oh well. I wanted to upload a bunch to show where my USA vs Italian mags fit in the gauge and 17 vs 21 with base pads (TTI). Like most said before, they just barely don’t fit. But from what I understand, the rules state that minimal pressure can be placed in the mag to seat them (haven’t personally verified this yet). But a video with the NROI president and former USPSA president they mention this method too. If that is the case, my mags should work but it’s subject to interpretation. one 17 round tube I tried to bend the ear back slightly to make up the difference. No luck in really clearing the gauge better.
  8. I’m a nobody, so take my comment for what it is. I’ve shot in 5.11 (forever ago) and don’t remember them being stretchy much. That may have changed over the years. But I get pants slightly larger anyways due to my IWB/AIWB. So I tend to have room to move. I’ve also shot in jeans just fine but then again, I haven’t had many crouching stages. I do have some jeans that are fairly stretchy though that faired better. Shoes, I’ve always worn a pair of midtop hiking boots. They did me well enough to not ever try anything else. Shirt, generally one of my moisture wicking Columbia shirts of something similar. Again, I’m nowhere near as good as most the folks here but I wanted to give you an opinion from someone just looking to have fun and do well. best of luck.
  9. There has been a lot of people saying their content won’t load or is taken off of YT. It’s a shame
  10. I could defiantly see how streaming may still be an issue with the negative misconception of firearms currently. That may be part of the fear. Dump money into something to may get canned from viewing.
  11. Got ya. Thank you for the clarification. My mistake. And I agree. It should be funded by the USPSA. Some of the little guys, like me, won’t be spending the money it takes to travel to some of the big ticket matches because of work or funds but would love a professional video of the match that’s entertaining.
  12. Hey hey. I’m building a PCC All the IG videos I mentioned earlier got to me and I had to try one out hahahaha.
  13. https://jagerwerks.com/glock-1/?sort=pricedesc&page=1 here’s a link to what they offer. Not exactly the same but you would have to determine if you like any of their packages.
  14. There’s a debate on some podcasts saying that the last president didn’t do well for his obvious reasons that doesn’t need to be gotten into but one thing he did well was bring in CO. This argument holds some truth as CO is extremely popular. It arguably brought me back (more or less off the couch saying “I want to get back into it”). I sure do hope the future president does the same and uses technology to promote the sport. growing the sport is good for everyone as long as the ranges can handle it. Could pose a problem for some lvl 1 matches/ranges I’d guess. But overall, it’s a win to grow.
  15. If looking for sending your slide off, jaggerworks does a nice job. If you want a new slide there’s a ton of aftermarket companies that offer performance based designs and aesthetically pleasing designs. Just have to find what exactly fits your build
  16. There’s a ton of podcasts talking about this topic. I’d argue that watching the pros on the tv would be better than in person, if I were just a fan. You got to admit, the on deck butterflies are awesome and the run is great but stage reset isn’t fun lol. It could be a hit on tv though showing all the good times. football is the same way though in my opinion. I used to enjoy watching it on tv seeing the replays and watching the marker draw it out on the screen. But when I went to a game in person, it was fun because my wife took me but the game was meh. I was cold, sun was in my eyes for almost a quarter, and my wallet was thinning quick paying for beers to keep warm lol. The experience was fun but the game itself wasn’t. I think a lot can be taken away from that
  17. The personal match stuff is great but doesn’t show off the sport. Just shows off the person in the sport. Which brings in a few people but not everyone. I think people also need to see that there is a division and classification for everyone. you also got the exact opposite… the IG superhero shooting videos. Record shattering draws and splits but never pans over to show a target. Makes you wonder if there even is one lol. That doesn’t necessarily help the sport either.
  18. All this sounds great to me and I’m sure tons of other members. I think it could be aired in a very similar format as something like football. With obvious differences of course. Like you mentioned, it wouldn’t be live per say, but close. Would be awesome to see something like a small mistake on a run like a ugly reload and show a slo-mo of it and explain to the viewers how this cost time. And like you said, use predictive scoring. Such as, XX needs to score a 92 in 10.2 seconds and this is how. could be some good entertainment for all and good video of skills breakdown for shooters to grow as well. I mean heck, poker and bowling is aired and that’s not exciting at all lol
  19. I agree with what you mentioned about the streaming. I should have worded it better. As a household with no cable and only streaming services, I know what you mean. I did happen to see a video of someone at 2gun. I would have to search for the link again but I think that was done sry well. Good commentary, let the viewers know who they were and where they stood, what it would take to hang on to the number one spot, and had a good understanding of the course of fire. Overall, I would happily watch that in a full episode. But it did bring light to the fact that it IS possible and it could very well bring new shooters to the sport.
  20. Wife woke up super sick and one kid is feeling down too. Having to withdraw from a match the day before sucks but there’s always another week.
  21. I think you’re not far off. I predict $75-85 to promote sales but as far as $35-40 goes, them days may be long gone. Sucks big time regardless.
  22. As much as I’d like that, the best I could see is maybe a PRS style match. But that would have its own hurdles, distance being a big one. I would imagine that international laws would play a big factor as well. I agree though, would be awesome. A lot of people have mentioned the desire to “air” events like nationals to promote and grow the sport but that’s up to the org to spearhead I believe
  23. 17feb22: recap of partial targets and transitions Event: same as previous with a focus on dot placement. observation: much more deliberate on where my dot was prior to breaking the shot. Also focused on making sure I was target focused. Match on Saturday will confirm how my dry fire is shaping me take away: continue to break down each stage step by step and work each individual skill
  24. Absolutely understand and don’t really blame you. Just wanted to toss an option.
  25. Have you considered the icarus grip Module? I’ve been looking at it but really want to see one in person somewhere before I spend the money.
