  1. Un Freaking believable...There is another video in there of TT drawing a doing a 1 plus 1 on a PP before it goes down...were not worthy...were not worthy..
  2. That was bite your bottom lip sexy...mmmmMmmm pat
  3. Glad you had an awesome time..If your ever in NM...give me a call, we could shoot you up too..hehehe
  4. negative on the open gun information, however, I had a very nice conversation with the gentlemen from ZM weapons about the use of a open gun, with X200 under it with 170 - 200mm mags for use on entry. Ultra high velocity ammo, controllable, fast, lots of bullets, would be fierce to try for shield work or HR if needed to impart your will on demand. Alan Zitta (studman) was all in for this idea. I have never been a fan of the MP 5 family for use in LEO, just me I guess, but they are fun, but fun dont get the work done all the time. Flashbangs or Light, Sound Distraction Devices (PC) are used to default all of the sensories of the body. You will see it and it will constrict your pupils, even if you close your eyes, and if you look away even better for us. You will hear it, auditory exclusion can go only so far, you will feel the "pop" of air. You will smell and taste the "funk" everything in your body is trying to avoid confrontation, but there have been several people that can fight through it. Thats when you encorporate, tazers, pepperball, bean bags and police service dogs. Now that is tough to beat. As an instructor and shooter, I can not tell you guys how much stuff from this forum I have plopped in my classes, with due credit. All the pros and others. i have used Dirtypools drill sheets for improvement, Military guys fell in LOVE with Wesselmans grips, Flex's info on how to make a gun run, rifle stuff from Benny hill, all you guys receive credit for all you do to help us out. your impact for LEO is not often seen outright but it is there in plain sight. thanks a million guys and gals.
  5. the old blanket trick..by the time it gets pulled down, you should only see a flashhider and two steely brown eyes....man how many times have I seen the blanket trick...Too bad Simmunitions is only for LEO and Military..could really route some awesome courses of fire with that..best of luck and let us know how it rolls..pics of pain would be appreciated. pat p.s. no Eric...U the man.
  6. 7 million canndlepower flash, 250 decibels, every sensory in your body going on overload...yeah 2 seconds is about right...I love flashbangs...if you get a chance right after it is all said and done, really try to concentrate on the small things that made it successful or not. You will be amazed at what you can recall and in what order. On the instructor note, please remember that you are a "training aid". Any one can diffuse any tactical team, but that it is a jihad, not training. There will be a time and place for validation of equipment and techniques. Progressive training ladders need to be followed...but have fun...it is a straight up adrenalin, wind tunnel, NASCAR, rush for 2-3 seconds. pat

  8. I am a LEO, and we have just issued 1911( springfield trophy match) to cadets and beginning to filter in to officers for department of about 200. I am looking at standardizing our magazine, for this gun. I have contacted Wilson and Tripp Reaearch. I use Tripps for 1911 work, but not enough to make this call. Any information on durability and use of Tripps mags in 45 caliber would be greatly appreciated. Pat
  9. Got them both. 1 for 3 gun. 1 for LEO work. Very hard to tell the diference outside optics. might want to all Kyle Lamb from V-Tac to discuss other options as well. he is VERY qualified to answer any questions you might have. pat
  10. Excellant job...See things do work themselves out.... pat
  11. red bull plus rage equals sucess...ohh maybe it's cuz I work night shift before most of my matches....
  12. If I had a million dollar company that needed some investing...I would link up with a couple MOTIVATED B class shooters and track thier success. They make this sport...with out them M & GM would only be a dream. Eric is 100% right about LEO's. I have the pleasure of working with many high status tactical teams, and they are very good at what they do, however, they might not have reached that pinnacle with firearms. This could be for a large number of reasons...but just like uspsa NEEDS B class shooters, so do our tactcal teams...IMHO pat
  13. If not for mac and cheese..my children would have starved a long time ago...
  14. coul not stand it...left half way through...came home and worked on dry fire..not total loss... pat
  15. nothing tactical but that....ohh wait nevermind saw all the velcro and black fabric..MUST be tactical...more to follow..I have hear rumors that this guy got slam dunked by some very reputable US shooting instroctors. Like I said earlier, some of our local sheriff's guys went through this training and espoused it as gospel. When we integrated tactical teams for joint training it was...well interesting..but everyone dunks thier own cookie.. pat
  16. Paul Castle...from center axis relock..look under sabretactical.com....i think...have never gone through this training but I have seen guys who have...kinda shady stuff..lots of numbers but no real facts...happy hunting. Pat
  17. Awesome shooting ...You Florida guys sure know how to throw a match..Congrats to fellow LEO Kevin Insco...You da man..... PAT
  18. Thanks Matt, You did very well for first major match. Dont orry about size and talent at the match...just follow theat sight for EVERY shot and it wont be longuntil you are passing along your knowledge. Thank you for the compliment for the LCPD Shooting team. this is our 3rd match. We are trying to improve skills as instructors and recruiting efforts. We are still in our ifancy stage but having lots, and lots of un. One great side we underestimated was the meeting and networking with all the wonerful people in this sport. Having a great time. Keep up the good work. pat
  19. Caylor Custom is....friggin awesome..has done 3 of my guns, 1 of which i carry on duty...great guy..great work... pat
  20. winning is not everything....it's the only thing... Vince Lombardi nuff said
  21. I have been carrying a SV short dustcover with X200 sight for duty (gang unit) and SWAT. I have also used it to teach probaly 50 classes in last couple of years. No problems at all. I work in very unforgiving environment. Very cold winters, and 110 -115 degrees in summer, however 50 -60 mph winds are the norm in spring and summer, in Southern NM. To combat theese issues I had the gun hardchromed....best damn thing since sliced bread. I can load up 20 plus 1, with two spare mags in blade tech open top pouches. We have well over 70 officers out of 200 carrying 1911 of some sort. we have maybe 10 carrying STI or SV variants. The huge contingency carry Para of some sort. The P-16 in 40 caliber seems to be the fav tho. Again they look just like a Limited gun (hell I found most of them for them on this website or USPSA). We have a great chief who told us as instrucotrs, "Your in the know, so go" Very Nice. I use this gun in competition on weekends and go 10-8 all week with it. Now like anything in cop work...it is a little ugly now...Scott Grip is about non existant, few scratces here and there...But runs like a dream with long and standard ammo. Duty ammo is Golden Saber 180 grainers, and shoots very flat. Only downside is that I have to justify it to the other cops that I work around and teach to. they say it is not "fair", when we have departmental shootoffs, and during the state LEO shootoff match. Ohh well. I think that is the LEO world you will start to see more and more use of these types of handguns with all the modifications impelemted in IPSC. Just go to the SHOT Show and the resemblence is unmistakable. If you hae any questions about our policy or training, just give me a PM. We also just ordered like 25 JP rifles for the SWAT Team for entry as well....the unfairness just keep coming and coming I guess.......... By the way...THANKS for the sweet gun Dirtypool...and Derek at Mellinium Custom...Simply flawless. Pat
