  1. I will be there! O......thats right......I live here!In beautifull Fillmore 10 min from Piru!See you guys there!
  2. Thanks guys,I will talk to Para ftf at the Steel challenge!
  3. I shoot it 4321 stop.I average 2.50'S or so per run.I have no idea how you guys shoot it any faster than that!I only use my sights on the stop plate....
  4. I am about to start my 9mm conversion project so I would love to have some of your"Expert" imput!I am starting with my P-14 lda bottom end because it has had extensive trigger work and I am having real good luck and shooting some pretty good scores with it.I am thinking a STI slide and a Nowlin barrel? What do you think?
  5. I got moved up to expert today in IDPA cdp.Looks like less first place pins...for a while anyways !
  6. Hey HSMITH,Dude...thank you very much. You hit the nail on the head,I did exaclty what you said and I found the clearance problem with the bullet hitting the slide stop.I tried another slide stop and it has pleanty of room! Thanks again-Chad-
  7. Very nice,I handled one a few months ago.Nicest pistol I have ever had in my hands...
  8. Thanks for all of your response. All I can say is I envy you guy... Why? I'm living in CA Love Mine!Super low muzzle flip....
  9. My beloved Para p-14 lda did somthing strange today.I was shooting my local IDPA match and was about half way through a stage when about my seventh round went to slide lock.I had 10 in the mag to start and this is the firt time this has ever happened.I quickly racked the slide and finished my stage(I still shot a 86.68 ).My question is...Do you guys think I might have a problem of some kind or did I just nick the slide stop with my thumb when under recoil?I loaded up three mags and with the RO's permission stepped to an empty stage and let em fly with out a hitch...Hopefully a one time problem but would love your input.Btw this slide stop is factory and has about 1000 rounds on it.Thanks -Chad-
  10. I have killed several hogs over here in Ca. with my .45 auto. Some times they drop in their tracks and some times they dont.I will say that the Hornaday customs (xtp bullet) in the .45 acp works great!I have stopped one DEAD in its tracks with an arrow also(neck shot)but I would probably pass on the .38 superor even .357 for pigs over 125lbs.Under 100lbs I think with great SHOT PLACEMENT you would have no problem....My opinion only
  11. Thanks guys! You are probably right about the "draw".I have only shot iron sighted pistols so this optic thing is kinda new(and very cool) it just seems that a "tubeless sight" might be better? BTW my scope mount has built in 30mm rings for the pro point, can I get a C-more on that mount if I machine off the built in rings and tap some holes?
  12. Thats nice! She's one lucky girl!
  13. I finally got my own open gun!I have always wanted one of these and now that I got one I need a little advice. It is a Eaa witness single action comped 9mm.It came with a 30mm Tasco pro point and I have a lot of trouble finding the dot on my draws. After I find the dot I am fine.My question is:Should I Get a weaver mount and buy a C-more sight set up for this gun?I live right next to Piru and am only going to use it for the Steel Challenge matches.Any imput would be greatly appriciated! Thanks in advance....Chad
  14. flinch=low left shot with me!
  15. I just need to add;I realy like it when my .45 semi wadcutter just barely breaks the line
  16. I have a Hi-Viz front sight on my p-14 lda and just love it,just make sure you buy the new model with the square tube body.(I didnt like the round one)
  17. Im way faster with my 17 than my 34,but my 34 shoots way better groups?I vote for the 34
  18. I started out with a Fobus then graduated up to Blade tech.Love Blade tech's stuff.
  19. I hope so!that would be great!
  20. I vote:Send it back! You payed good $ for that gun so it should perform!
  21. Does anyone make a scope mount (not a weaver type) for myWitness Eleite so I can mount a C-more real low to the bore? Thanks in advance -Chad-
  22. I forgot to add that I did have to modify my powerspeed a bit;I cut off the right side of the lock(behind trigger)kept turning the lock on during draws...
