Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks for your advice. It looks like I'm getting there. I had to bend the regular 1911 firing pin so that it contacts the rim first. However, I put 14lbs hammer spring, it didn't fire all rounds. I need to try a heavier one.
  2. Hi Mo, Could you share your experience with your new slide? Do you have to do a lot of fitting? If so, what will it be? I am thinking to get the v12 port Gold team top end and wonder if it will easily be fitted into my existing Witness Gold team. Thanks
  3. I encounter the same issue. I got light strike on every shot. The firing pin is way too short on my eaa conversion kit. Are you able to fix your problem? I haven't been able to find a longer firing pin which will fit into the conversion kit? Have you? Thanks
  4. i installed it with the rolling facing forward. I guess it is the housing that obstructs the correct alignment of the trigger. I will try to file the edges. With the spring, a normal plunger can be compressed. However, this is not the case with this one. Is the housing supposed to move up and down freely from the pin? Thanks
  5. I bought the Henning rolling plunger. I encountered problem during my installation. Q1. This plunger can't be compress like the original one. I can't figure out what is the purpose of the spring. There is no locking mechanism on the shaft and the rolling housing. Please refer to the picture. The shaft is very tight to fit into the rolling housing. Q2. Notwithstanding the above issue, I installed the plunger into the frame but I couldn't align the trigger so that the trigger pin could go through. Is the housing too big? Am I supposed to file the edges? Q3. Did I put together the plunger correctly based on the picture? Could you please shed some lights? Thanks
  6. What about thumb rest? One that can fit right into the C-more scope mount that you carry. For the slide racker. What about the T-shaped one (similar to Briley Slide Racker)) That will give some advantages when retrieving the gun on the table on either side.
  7. This is a 140MM tube. It ran OK when I only loaded 10 rounds. It started nose diving when I filled it with 18 rounds+. Something wrong with the spring? Thanks
  8. What caliber, what kind of magazine tube, what spring and basepad combo is it? The nose dive problem in S_I mags is usually caused by a weak spring and/or a follower that is dragging on the inside of the tube. If the follower drags, figure out where the contact is and trim it a little at a time until it will go in and out with little to no resistance. There can be other factors like a slide speed that is too high (too light of a recoil spring) that doesn't give the round enough time to get all the way up in the magazine before the slide strips it out, but that's probably less likely. This is 38supercomp. All parts are new. Tube is for EAA Witness. Will the top part of the mag make any difference? I mean if the top part where it holds the ammo is too tight, will that casue nose diving? It happens sometimes even on the first round. I appreciate for all your advise.
  9. I got a new mag with gram follower. However, one of out 20 rounds, there will be an ammo not fed to the chamber at the right angle. I guess we call it noise diving? Anyone can tell me why this happens? And what is the fix? Thanks so much.
  10. it looks good. any words on the 170mm mag and the shipment? On schedule? thx
  11. Just in case anyone wants to sell his/her EAA Witness Gold, please let me know. I am longering to get one! Thanks soooooo much
