My girl says shooting softly isn't as much of a problem as having the gun fit her. An XDm40 would be a good choice but I don't like the accuracy potential from the gun nor do we think going a "cheap" route is in her best interest. I have had her hold a Witness Limited Elite and she liked the feel of that gun vs my S_I gun. That is one of the reasons we are going with a Witness/Tangfoglio framed gun. Major 40 recoil doesn't seem to bother her at all.

I have used Precision Delta 147s out of my 5in XD and they give good accuracy. 2in at 25 yards. My M&P9 gives sos accuracy with 5in at 25 yards.

I would have loved to see this conversation as long as it ended at the shooting line and involved instructors mumbling to them selves. They told me: My speed is acceptable but I should work more on accuracy I would shoot better with a Glock 22 My mag pouches are in the wrong spot I do not load the gun correctly I do not charge the gun up correctly My gun is too complicated for carry I do not release the slide correctly You gotta be kidding me!!! Did any of the instructors even shoot??

Alright my girl has decided she wants to move to Limited. I have let her try several different pistol designs and she has settled on a Tanfoglio/Witness in 40. I need to figure out how much this is going to cost me. I am looking for Prices on a Tanfoglio Limited Custom or a Witness Elite Limited. Most of the information on the internet is hard to follow. Henning, Do you sell the guns themselves?

I guess my earlier post didn't go through. dang now I have to type it all over again. I have issues with the weapons used so far. They seem to have used nothing but modern weapons so far??? Even the bow looked like it was made with carbon fiber and/or fiber glass. Did the English longbow have that? It really looks to me like they half ass threw this together and really picked some odd weapons. I was looking forward to seeing a true longbow and handmade arrows used. It doesn't have to be a 100lb draw weight to work for the show. Also a modern crossbow? They might as well have used a rifle! Come on!!! Get an old wooden crossbow without sights and some handmade bolts!!! I know they are out there! I have seen them on Mailcall!!

You don't have to lighten up your loads for shooting at Steel Matches. We run our regular loads at the matches we go to. No problems at all. Booty you do no not have too but it certainly wouldn't hurt!

I didn't see any luck at all. I saw some basic skills being used and some basic skills being abused.

On the first stage I saw that you almost tripped on the fault line. Did you also have an ND?

I have wanted to try these in my revolver for steel. Not sure how they would work in an Auto though. You would definitely have to use a much lighter recoil spring.
