  1. It also has alot more potassium than gatoraid!
  2. This guy is absolutly right! I have been using this stuff in the West Texas heat by switching off 1 propel to 1-2 waters and I don't get cramps or other signs of preliminary heatstroke even when training hard. This stuff won't screw up your gut by causing cramps like gatorade will after being consumed after you are partially dehydrated, and no headaches either. This has been my experience. Good Stuff!!!
  3. If you mount a Streamlight M-3 or M-6 on a Glock Model 34 or 35 is it far enough forward to allow you to place your left support index finger on the front of the trigger guard behind the light when mounted? Also would either of these model be forbidden as a supplimental aiming device, in any context, in IDPA, IPSC or any other 3Gun match? Thank you for your opinions and help! Guy Hawkins
  4. I zero at 300. This allows me to hold under the plate at closer rangers so the stock front sight does not block the plate I am shooting at. Guy Hawkins
  5. I have a weaver type setup for the front sight to be mounted on with a factory A2 type rear. What is the best type front sight assembly for 3GUN matches?
  6. My Turn!!!!! For a pistol: My finger with a newspaper rubberband on it For a rifle: My Daisy Red Ryder!! For a shotgun: A handful of small to medium rocks
  7. Kurt, Thanks for the info and my son is moving to OKC so we will hook up! Kelly, I don't think my front sight is 2' across but my groups at 25 yds are! LOL! Guy
  8. What is the best A2 AR front sight assembly that will go on a rail and is the clamp on type????? Does anyone know of a 1/4 " rear clamp on type of sight? Thanks! Guy Hawkins
  9. What is the stock front sight width on an Ar??? What do you like that is different from that as to the width of the front sight you use? Thanks! Guy Hawkins
  10. I have an old Benelli M1 Super 90. It has the old williams type (fragile!) rear sight not the new LPA. It has been shot so much that the screws are wallowed out , and one of the ones going into the aluminum receiver is stripped. I have been putting seeping locktight on it for a year or so and it holds it together for a while then I have to redo it. I would like to replace the rear sight but am in a quandry as to what sight would be the best or if it is worth the trouble at all and I should just sell it. It is a preban so the bolt allows me an additional shell on the carrier and I like that and it has the large bolt handle and a threegun gear new angled side saddle on it as well. If I replace it it worrys me that I will be drilling and tapping into aluminum again! Any help?????? Guy Hawkins
  11. I am curious to find out from you folks what you prefer when looking at matches you might go shoot as to the length of time they are being held. Please state the number of matches you attend and if you travel to get to them. Thanks! 1) Do you prefer one day matches with limited stages and the competitor numbers limited as well? 2) Do you prefer 2 day matches that allow more, and more complicated stages, with more competitors allowed and limited 'downtime'? 3) Do you like 3-4 day matches that allow more, and more complicated stages, more competitors and more 'downtime' during the match? (Downtime being defined as not shooting all day and having large blocks of time spent not at the range or not shooting each day.) Thanks in advance! I have been having a discussion with friends on this subject and would like to have other peoples opinions and comments as well! Guy Hawkins P.S. Maybe your answers will influence the next season of shooting!
  12. Kelly, You need to be reported to the authorities!!!!! LOL!! Guy
  13. I can say one more thing about Todd...........he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet! If his teaching skill is anything on par with his shooting skills, which I have heard they are, he is the man you should seek out to instruct you. Guy Hawkins
  14. Kelly, Why don't you teach a class. I have seen you shoot and it has to be better than being in court! LOL! Guy Hawkins P.S. You guys seriously need to hit Kelly up to teach a shotgun course!
  15. Brad and anyone else posting a reply that may have shot this match, thanks for posting an opinion for me and everyone else on the board. But I am asking please do not identify the match. I am not doing this to throw down on the match or the people running it just to get opinions on the hidden stage issue. I do not want any future matches they may put on to be effected as these people are nice folks and this match could have great future potential. Thanks!
  16. Is anyone changing the front sight or the rear sight on thier limited/tactical/stock class 3Gun rifle? Let me know what you are doing or other people that you have seen. Thanks! Guy Hawkins
  17. I shot a match on Saturday and they ran it in an interseting way. The match originally had 6 stages ( 2 pistol, 2 shotgun and 2 rifle..............they took out a rifle stage for 'saftey reasons'. In the match 3 of the 6 stages ( and it turned out to be 5 stages) were hidden so you could not look at them or know what you were about to shoot until you went into the stage after the buzzer went off (which was kinda cool). The remaining 3 stages (actually 2 since the rifle stage was taken out) you were walked through the stage, en mass, with your squad once only, then you moved back and waited your turn to run. I would like to add that the people that ran the match were nice folks and the range facility and stages were great. My question is, at this match the ROs and match directors shot for score in the match as well. In other words, they shot all the stages themselves and were in the match results as participants and had a chance at winning the trophies that were awarded. The match was set up the prior weekend and the match officials asked the shooters to help set it up so I assume the ROs, some other participants and the match officials help set up the stages as well as ran them during the match. In other words, I am presuming that they got to see the stages before and during the match while the other shooters, who did not chose to help set up the match the previous weekend, had to shoot the 2/5ths of the match with one en mass walk through and 3/5ths of the match with no idea where the targets were. What is your opinion on the ROs and match officials shooting the match for score with everyone else in this situation? Thanks! Guy Hawkins
  18. Kurt, Surely Erik was referring to the comment I made (KILL!! KILL!! KILL!!) in his refence to medicine taking. Rest assured Erik, I am at my proper dosage level and Kurt and his brother will be putting on an excellent match. I am in the same camp as Todd in my opinion that the last match was nothing short of awesome. It was one of the best matches I have been to in my entire life, which is longer than I care to admit. Although theme music and style points have their place, these guys are not going to indulge in such antics. Expect a premium match...................and hopefully an invitation to it. Guy Hawkins
  19. KILL!!!!! KILL!!! KILL!!!!! EMAIL ME WITH AN APPLICATION!
  20. I have always found that a certain amount of mental instability helps one not stress and thus not shoot poorly. (LOL!)
