Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. OK Steve, your saying you shot the stage faster than JJ....with a reload...faster than a world class open shooter with a full race gun (and yes JJ's gun was running fine)
  2. Hey Bucky....I heard you had another stage on Sunday that had 28 rounds, three targets were to be shot weak hand only, and 3 were to be shot strong hand only and the rest you do what you want...Oh, and you had to carry one of those Tool Totes, and all your mags had to come from in it....dude what rule book do they work from in Jersey?
  3. From what I am reading.....just one more reason to never go to Jersey....have to sneak your stuff into the state so you can shoot stages that are......against the rules
  4. I would also consider calling Derek at Millenium (since he's in FL as well) I have an EGW open gun and a Millenium open gun and one of each for Limited (all 2011) and all are of great quality...and I didnt have to wait a year for the guns from Derek...like with George :-)
  5. Sorry, I don't follow? Good I thought only I was confused

    New Jersey

And TEXAS! and many more I am sure! And South Carolina.....or really any other southern state....but PA has great gun/carry laws as well

    What Age?

There was a little guy at area 6 with a glock...I think he said he was 8...pretty cool....and just like any other shooter. Nice kid.
  8. I had two (2) Dillon SL900's and couldn't get either one to run on a regular no hassle basis...both were back to Dillon (great customer service) twice. And the guy I sold them to still has trouble. I bought two MEC 9000H hydraulic presses (well two presses and one pump) they run great and I have had no trouble. I love my Dillon 550/650's but I think they missed the boat on that SL900. Just my .02
  9. You cant tell me that more rounds go through Glocks in a year than everything else combined SIG, Beretta (including M9 in the sand box),Smith, H&K etc etc. and yet the ratio of KB's of Glocks to the combined every other gun is huge. Sure there is some bad ammo issues once in a while but if there was that much bad ammo around other guns would be KB'ing as well all the time...and they don't...once in a while but not at the rate Glocks do...all manufactures have a problem sometimes but we never see posts "educate me on SIG KB's or Smith KB's or Beretta KB's or H&K KB's...or do the ammo manufacturers sell all "the bad ammo" only to the stores Glock owners shop at.
  10. Lyman Tuff Nut prior to loading for a few hours and then after loading, a quick trip through clean corn cob in another tumbler just to clean any loading residue
  11. Thanks Bucky...great to hear it's still 100% so many of the ones I've done lately have gone to small (LE type) markets that I dont get to talk to the users. One other thing to note is that because of the way it is built the Xtrema is much faster cycling than many of the other guns on the market...and once we modify the actions a bit they are super fast. And done right they shoot so much softer than a race 1187/1000 that guys just love them. the easy test we use before a gun leaves (all get approx 200 rounds thru before going..Win AA Extra light target loads...if it will cycle rapidly with these it will eat whatever quality ammo you feed it at it's new home)
  12. Thanks Bucky, we ran as much as 5000 rounds per day though cougars at beretta days...some of them NATO ammo and some Cor-Bon but I assure you that the guns were too hot to touch many times but they just kept running (sometimes a dab of FP 10 was needed after thousands of rounds)....I think the only guns we had real trouble keeping running were from the Cheetah line (87 target excluded...they rock) even Tomcats had over 1000 rounds per day fired
  13. Speer or RP nickel seems to work great....had some bad FC marked brass
  14. Dino...all team Beretta shooters are using the same load after tons of testing in 96's Hornady 180 HAP 3.1 gr of Clays, Federal 100 primer, and 1.110 OAL. runs about 730 FPS in my guns. also consider trimming the lips back on your mags a bit (look at a P229 mag for reference) and try running an 11LB recoil spring(wolf)
  15. 5"EGW Limited STI: 4.5 gr Clays and 1.20 OAL 180 HAP works great
