most important is the 38s sizing die, i use the egw or lee u die so you can size to the base of the brass next i use a redding competition seating die in 38s you can get away with a 9 crimp die #3 shellplate

I made GM in open division 5 months ago. I haven't touched a gun since. There was the opportunity to shoot a Ranger's battalion charity match. Won a ballistic advantage barrel off the charity auction after the match. Had some gun issues, but still finished 17th out of 60. I think that's pretty decent after not touching a gun for 5 months and having gun issues.

Because there's 5 nationals and not just one like literally every other sport in the world have you been hallucinating the past few years? clearly theres a void in the leadership. they have the IT guy responsible for nats, they didnt have enough tolits, ran out of food, didnt have enough seats and tried to half ass the awards....

38 sc does everything better than 9 major it just costs a bit more.

heres a thing about peoples 38sc loads AA7 is probably the flattest powder and i say that having used 3n38 and n320 before.

this redding competition seating die and lee u die. nothing else matters but the sizing and seating die i like to be as precise as possible since that affects oal (and thus the ability to chamber) and if its not sized far enough down it also might not chamber

i use redding competition dies, and a lee U die for sizing. thats the best combo ive come up with after shooting 38 sc for the past two years

I also hate this, its almost like they forget that people work real jobs and that taking two weeks off in a row if you want to shoot both isnt always possible

I like the idea of just one national a year, but it seems our fearless leaders are only concerned about the revenue that comes in. and truthfully i excluded limited because i forgot it existed while i was typing it you could just lump it into open tho since its basically open with irons

you can also do this so you only focus on target focus I used to shoot matches with the front part of my dot covered in open. I liked it so much ill probably go back to it

8 nationals a year one for each division or open, pcc, CO and prod nationals each year and lump the other divisions into one national

as aggressive as you can get just get both barrels and comps made and fitted to the same frame

i do a mix of starline and sourcing it from a few shooters that sell it

38 sc literally does everything better than 9 major. people complain about the brass and all that but its not an issue if you just stock up. I buy about 50k 38sc brass at the beginning of each year just so i can shoot without chicken picking the range for brass 9 major brass is cheaper (or free) but at the cost of more pressure and more force in the slide which means at some point your slide will crack maybe it will be at 20k maybe it will be at 100k but at some point the slide will get all messed up. the same goes for extractors, ejectors, etc i think the conventional way to do open builds these days is to get a barrel and comp for both calibers tuned to the same frame

tune your extractor for 38 tj brass, that way you can fire anything ive only ever had problems with aftec extractors. i only use the egw hd ones now. wilson also makes a decent one.

Just got my 10 MOA its HUGE i love it. just as awesome as the 8 moa I attached a pic of how much larger the 10 moa is than the 8. Needless to say I popped it directly onto my akai and cant wait to shoot with it.

180 dqs are such bulls#!t. unless im actively dodging bullets area 5 style I will give someone a warning and if it happens again ill call them on it. do this too much and people just start knowing you as the dickhead RO, and will stop squadding with you
