  1. IMO, no nothing to worry about with todays ammo. If you hear the dreaded click, very quickly, tap the bottom of the mag to make sure it's seated, rack the slide and go (reassess the situation in the defensive world).
  2. Not much help here but I have some older Safariland pouches, pre 77x models, made for the Glock 17/22's I use for the CZ Tactical Sport. They fit pretty good. I tighten them down a little more than I do for the Glock mags. The mags are pretty close in size. I used calipers to measure and the CZ TS mags are a tad longer and a tad narrower. So close that I'm thinking Wolff mag springs for the Glock just might work for the CZ TS mag. Going to give'em a try anyway when the stock ones wear out.
  3. I just picked up a TS last week and spent a good 5 minutes looking at the buffer, deciding which way I was going to put it on. I went the same way you did. Though it does look like it would fit either way just fine. Just not sure if the wrong way will cause any problems. I've got about 800 rounds through it so far and no problems. I've got a Sprinco on my shopping list. Nodak, have you tried the Sprinco and the stock set-up? How do you think they compare?
  4. It's listed on their web site under the DOH model. Listed as the CZ 75 IPSC in their weapon code which is just the first generation CZ 75 TS. Did you ask them? I'm curious cause I just picked up a CZ TS and am pondering the holster choices with Blade-Tech leading the way but if not avail...
  5. Has anybody on here, from the US, ordered anything from this gentleman? Looks like good stuff.
  6. I picked my new TS 40 up yesterday and put about 150 rounds through it today. Certainly not enough to come to any kind of a strong opinion but my impressions... Sweet sights. Really like the narrow front. Very nice trigger. Seems very accurate but didn't bag it in for groups. Grip is not as big as my Para 45. I do wonder how long the mag well will last as it is plastic. The plastic trigger seems fine but more trigger time will tell if I'll want to replace it with a metal one. With a plus 2-3 round base pad for the mags, this will be competative in limited no doubt. When the holster arrives, I'm going to give this one a go in limited.
  7. I have no doubt once the tuners figure these out, the triggers will be sweet. I suppose "better" will be up to the individual but I'm already gettting faster splits (couple hundreths) with the M&P than my Glock and recoil is pretty much the same. Although I've always struggled with the Glock when it comes to the hosing with it, probably too much time on the 1911 platform.
  8. chp5, No light strikes at all. Looking at the fired brass, primers look well struck. No "Glock bulge" either. It ran without a hitch from the first shot.
  9. Ok I am back from the range with a couple of dirty guns. Overall, my Glock 22 and the M&P shot pretty similar in regards to accuracy and felt recoil though the ergo's on the M&P feel more comfy to me. I used CCI Blazer Brass @ 180 grn and Federal HST @ 165 grn for the ammo. Shot about 700 rounds total with 75% of it through the M&P since it is the new one Assuming no durability issues, I think the M&P is a winner. I liked the trigger a lot and it appears like it will be "tweakable". Mine is a little gritty on the pretravel and looks like it's from the trigger bar sliding across and then depressing the plunger. Trigger pull is not gritty with the slide off and I can feel the grit when I push the the plunger up with a punch. I think a good polishing of the plunger and trigger bar area will get rid of that. It also appears to me that the striker stays at full cock and the trigger does not pull the striker back during the trigger pull like the Glock, it just cams the sear out of the way to release the striker. I'm a pretty average shooter and was able to get .17 splits consistently while goofing around at close range (ok very close range), all in the A zone ( I consistently get .13's with my open gun at close range). My Glock is pretty comparable with that but not the Sigma. That one takes some work! The M&P felt like it cycled smoother than my Glock, which is fairly stock. I wonder if that is because of the metal guide rod vs. Glock's plastic one? I'll throw my metal one in the Glock and compare them again sometime. With my Glock and the way I grip the pistol, it almost never goes into slide-lock because my thumb rides on top of the slide-stop. The M&P always went into slide-lock but I do have to concur with the other posts regarding the slide-stop. It is tough to release the slide with the slide-stop. We'll have to see if that works itself out over time. I like the sights on the M&P better than the stock Glock sights. I think mostly because the front sight post is thinner. However, I do not like white dot set-up on the M&P. The rear dots are bigger than the front dot and I found it a little distracting. I'm not a dot fan anyway, I usually black my sights out and will be doing that with this one too. I guess this is long winded enough. But now I'm really interested in the 9mm version for production class. Oh yeah I almost forgot. No malfunctions
  10. Ok got me new M&P today. This is no Sigma trigger, much, much better. I'm an armoror for about 125 of those and the M&P is a much better trigger all the way around. The grip is comfy too. Haven't shot it yet but am going to the range tomorrow with my Glock 22 and the M&P with about 800 rounds. I've had my Glock for about 15 years so have become very used to it but I am curious how the M&P will "compare".
  11. I put limcat's on a new CR belt a couple months ago. I just used brut force. Well as much as I cold muster anyway. With the extra velco strips on the ends of the belt, it was a little work getting them started. Once I got enough belt through, I stepped on the end of belt ,carpeted floor, and pulled the mag pouches on. Hope that helps
  12. Try jackashcustom for a metal one. Don't know if they're necessary or not though.
  13. Thanks Clyde I can't find a phone # on the web site. Would you happen to know it? Their race rig looks interesting too. Looks like it might be similar to a CR.
  14. How is the holster? I'm looking at one one these and tried the search here to see if I could find anybody's who has used one. Doesn't look like it is too easy to order from 2 Alpha Inc. Does one just send them am email?
  15. I sure do love my Limcat Never had a lick of trouble with it. Limcat custom (NV)
  16. Just ordered me a CZ 75 TS and am now looking at the holster route. I noticed that the Safariland 012 stuff states: Fits 1911s, STIs and CZ clones from 5" to 7.5" I'm just wondering if this works forthe CZ 75 TS, as the diffferent CZ's and clones have some different frame and trigger guard sizes. I'm not sure how their trigger guard block works. Anybody use or tried this combo?
  17. My thinking goes with John on this one. I don't think the magazine disconnect is a safety, it's an optional feature like the internal locking feature, night sights, 10 or 15 rd magazines. How can it be a safety inherent to the design, for purposes of this rule, if not all M&P's leave the factory with this feature installed on any given day? But anyway I got one ordered and can't wait to get it in my hands to put it through its paces. Man I hope going 5 mph over the limit isn't cheat'n cause that makes me a big cheater. While drive'n a squad car too, just patroling around
  18. Ok I took the plunge and ordered one today from the gun shop. His CZ distributor didn't have one on hand so I'm a waiting. Now for the holster choice...
  19. No help here either, but I like the ones that seem to "build up" in the comp and light off every 4-5 rounds. Yeah I get that using VV350 in my 38s. Only noticeable on the colder days, below about 45 degrees. I've never shot them indoors but sounds like fun.
  20. Anyone know if Slip 2000 Carbon Killer is safe to use on hard chromed comps? Wondering if it will get between the metal and hard chrome and cause it to flake off over time.
  21. I've got an older Para (must be about 10 yrs old) P14. What I did to mine was put on Bomar sights, full-length guide rod, fitted matc barrel & bushing, and some trigger work to smooth and crisp it up a bit. It shoots accurately even though the slide-to-frame fit is not too great (it rattles when you shake it). I just use a liberal amount of Slide Glide on my frame rails and it works and shoots fine and cycles smoothly. IMHO, consistent (same place every time) barrel lock-up is more important than slide/frame fit on iron sighted pistols. I would recommend getting rid of any slop you may have in the barrel lock-up if you had to choose one over the other. That probably means buying a match barrel and bushing and having it hand fitted. If you have the funds, get a match barrel and get the slide/frame fit done. But if you plan on doing both barrel fitting and slide/frame fit at different intervals, doing the slide/frame fit first avoids having to re-fit your match barrel afterwards. Barry
  22. Harmongreer's answer is worth looking into. I had a similar problem a few years ago with a new 9 super comp gun. Thought it was high pressure at first but kept loading down to about a 150 pf and still had primers that looked like yours. Did some research and asked questions and it turned out to be the firing pin. Installed an XL limcat firing pin and problem went away (under the 175 pf days, and I loaded to 180 pf). When the firing pin does not fill the breachface firing pin hole like it should during the ignition of the round, the primer will fill that space and then shear off as it ejects. This can disguise itself like a high pressure problem (primer flow) but your load data looks like it should be ok.
  23. I've used soccer cleats for years and love them (I've used Nike and Adidas)...BUT...I use the turf models, sometimes called "hard field" cleats. I go for the ones with sole patterns that are similar to Adidas GSG9 boots (the softer rubber cleats). Never a problem on wet wood props either. To me, a very good all around cleat, though a little harder to find stocked in stores. I wouldn't recommend using a regular cleated soccer shoe. Cleats are way too hard and unforgiving. I did just get a pair of JT painball shoes and used them for the first time today. Too early to tell for sure but I was very impressed with them today. It was wet today and I did not slip once, always had good traction. FWIW - our range a fine, clay like, dirt with a layer of gravel over the top (over most of it anyway).
  24. Just checked the stacking/binding of the recoil spring. No problem there. I'm going with Phil and chalking it up to a design issue. I guess I find out if I'm wrong after a bit with the new "normal" bushing. Barry
  25. Ahhh I think you guys have pointed me in the right direction. I won't be able to check it 'til tomorrow though. I've just been taking the recoil springs out of the package and putting them in the gun. And I am running a full length guide rod. After cruising the forum I'm going to try a lighter recoil spring too. Me thinks I was old school thinking on that.
