  1. Also, I replaced the blue cap at the bottom of my primer tube. I found that it was a little bent which caused the primer problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Yes. You're right. I put 1x2 pine around the edge to make it look nicer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I just built one out of plywood, 2x4s & 4x4s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Ha ha ha. I use arm power too. It's not too bad, but I would love to have a Mark 7. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Do you mean an additional camera to keep an eye on the amount of projectiles in the bullet feeder? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Did it come with additional toolheads? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. A rebuilt 1050 can get you around $1300. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. A used 1050 goes from anywhere around $1300-$1400 (it would need to be in good working condition). You can buy a new one for $1779 from Dillon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. You would be fine with the 650. However, if I had a 1050 that I could send to get it rebuilt, I would do it. If you don't plan on it. You can sell it to me for $350 and I will have it rebuilt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. It depends on what you are reloading. I went with the 1050 because of the swaging station and priming on the downstroke. I have not used a 650 so I can't give you a comparison. The 1050 is very easy to use. However, it is very expensive to add additional calibers. I have a separate toolhead for each caliber I load. It takes me about 15 minutes to change from small to large primer setups. I don't have a Mark 7 (which would be nice), but I do have a MBF and it takes me about 3 minutes to load 100 rounds by hand. I have had to get one replacement part, but it was because of my negligence. They sent the part with no questions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I do something like that as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I had the same problem three weeks ago. I replaced the blue tip from the spare parts kit and have not had a problem since. I have run another 500 through it without a problem. When I looked closely after taking it off, it was a little bent which probably caused the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I agree with RiggerJJ about purchasing multiple toolheads to do 223 if you go with the RT1500. That is something I should have done. One more thing you should think about before buying the 1500 is the noise level. The Dillon trimmer is way too loud because of the vacuum you need running to suck the shavings away. That is one thing that finally made me sell it. However, I have heard of some guys that have built cupboards to house the vacuum to cut down on the noise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You are correct. I was tired of chamfer and deburing off the press, so I did the same process as you and reloads came out fine. I just decided to go with the Giraud so I could actually do both things in one step. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. That would be great if we could. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Now if I had a Mark 7, I might change my mind... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I disagree. I had the 1500 and sold it for the Giraud. Best thing I ever did. It cut a step (chamfer and debur). My hands were killing me during that step. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I would suggest the Giraud Trimmer. It chamfers and deburs the case. I had the Dillon Trimmer and switched to Giraud because I do 223 and 7.62x39. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I would get the Dillon Super 1050. It makes short work out of reloading. I load up a couple of month's worth of ammo for each caliber I reload and put the cover the press up. The primer seating on the down stroke and swaging station is reason enough. People say that you don't reload enough for a 1050, but I say that I'd rather spend more time shooting. The reloading is so fast on the 1050 because I load a couple thousand in each caliber every two months. But everyone has their own opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Do you have a link to the auction site you used? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. However, I am interested in this thread. I am looking for toolheads and conversion kits at a discounted price so I can begin loading large primer stuff on my 1050 instead of my second press (lnl). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
