Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Previously I had an STI Legend and finally settled into a 12.5#ISMI with 17# Wolff. I have used Wolff, ISMI, and Wilson Combat. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I have a slide mounted RTS2 on a CZ P09. With the new 140mm mag rule I am running 23rds. I have had zero reliability issues with the slide mounted optic. I am also running a reduced power recoil spring. Several shooters in my area are running M&Ps, Glocks, & Sigs with optics from Leupold, Trijicon, and Burris. The only reliability issues are ammo related. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. I started in production with a Glock for 1 season shooting local matches. Every course I said to myself man this would be really fun if I could start with full mags. Bought a 2011, switched into Limited, and never looked back. It's faster with more moving and shooting with less reloading. My sweet spot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Reading too quick. The weights posted were assumed adding 4 oz for optic. It appears they were trying to get the weight limit increased to include more popular production guns. Here are the pages of the proposal. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. For what it's worth. I just checked the BOD minutes and found the newly revised appendix for CO on the USPSA site. The gun weight limit was discussed in the meeting but the increase in weight suggestion was not passed. The max weight including optic and empty mag is 45 oz. I believe your Shadow is 46 oz without optic and mag. Please feel free to correct me, but that is how I was reading breakdown of the new rules. I guess the decision to go with the P09 was made for you in the rules. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. I checked this out the other day. They are offering some pretty decent payouts for A, B, and C classes. Well, enough to cover good a chunk of the reasonable priced Walthers. If nothing else, hopefully that will get some other companies to follow suit. Wishful thinking... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. One local match that I shoot doesn't allow pre-match walk-through of any of the stages unless you help set up. So, if you did't set up you get the allotted 5 minutes only before your squad shoots. This is communicated through Pratiscore prior to the each match. Tear down goes pretty smooth with the squad breaking down the stage they ended on. If any shooters walk away without tearing down they are verbally "encouraged" to help the rest of the squad. 8. Thanks for the video. I have been using the competition die for a couple years and set it up using the Redding instructions. I had no idea about the bell test though. I'll be checking my set up this evening. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. My first year running limited I had 4 STI mags that I tuned myself using the Dawson Tuning kit with Grams followers & springs and DP base pads. Rotated all 4 through the matches carrying 3 at a time. They ran and still run 100%. I have recently switched out the base pads for TTI. I have started using MBX last year with 3 and take the STI mags as backups. Same thing they run 100%. I'm glad I started with tuning mags myself as I learned a lot about how they operate as a system which can help with troubleshooting down the road. They are also a bit cheaper. However, you can save time by getting MBXs, the tubes are better quality, but you spend a bit more coin. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
