Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Dawson has the best fiber optic material in my opinion and yes there is two sizes.
  2. The 9mm and 38SC would be a little farther in towards the firing pin hole in the slide compared to the 38 Super extractor. The 9mm/38SC have basically the same rim size where the 38 Super has what is called a Semi Rim which is bigger in size so it will be backed more off to allow for the larger rim size. Some cases either one installed will work but the 9mm/38 SC may wear a little quicker and the 38 Super may not extract 9mm or 38 SC brass very time or might have some extraction problems. I have had a 38 SC since 1995 and all I shoot is Starline brass and have had the old style solid Ed Brown extractor in it and have zero problems. The only thing half way a problem is removing the extractor from the slide when i go to clean it.It has such a bend on it to work with SC brass you to pry very hard to remove it.
  3. I don't remember reading if you are using the same headstamped brass but it could be the case you are using some brass that has a crimped primer? While once i have one that i can feel is a little tight on the priming stage of my 650 i stop and pull it out.Very carefully i use a pair of pliers and wiggle the primer out and then swage that case with a Dillon Swaging tool. What I am getting at and found almost 95 % of the time i don't have trouble priming crimped primer pockets but early on i was not swaging the case and still priming with the crimp still in it and was having some miss fires>What i found out was it was damaging the primer internally and did not let it fire. It looks OK on the outside but internally its damaged. This could be your case?Look at your misfired and see if it brass that originally had a crimp ring on the primer ?
  4. Does the safety have to work if you are in a division were the safety is never used in any part of your course of fire since starting position is hammer lowered and holstered ?We are talking IDPA SSP and USPSA Production where both are Hammer Lowered start and would never use the safety even afterwards?
  5. Anyone have any idea how I can block my safety on a CZC Custom Black and a CZC SP-01 Accu Match . I have put the Perman heavy springs in both of them and still sometimes touch them enough with my grip hand that it blocks the sear just enough where the trigger is dead. I can ride the thumb safety but it being the safety that has the fairly open back end I have to hold with a different hand position. I have gotten so use to not riding safeties on my other guns but Have to ride it on my CZC CTS 40 since it has the wide left safety. Any one have this problem and if so what did they do to solve it besides the Perman springs ? I do not use the safety at all since they are used for IDPA SSP and USPSA Production so Im starting with hammer lowered.
  6. LOK palmswecl Bogies and also there is someone on here that sells extra power safety springs which took care of the problem for me.If i can remember or do a search I will post. There a little tricky to change but once you do its simple afterwards.http://www.dsperman.com/products/CZSpring/CZSpring.html
  7. Well I use to shoot my VP9 in IDPA CCP until the wonderful (LOL) IDPA Wilson board changed the box dimensions for CCP classification. It is now too tall by 1/16 to 1/8 Inch but length is well within spec for CCP so now it has to be used as a SSP gun !!! The only outcome where it could be used for CCP again would be if someone came up with a thinner steel based to replace the faction VP9-P30 mags.
  8. Dillon has a alignment kit that is put in the place of the Powder charging station. You remove the powder measure and the flaring funnel and it used to align with the hole in the shell plate hole.I have not used it but when i called Dillon about something else they sent it to me. I am talking about the 650 but would figure it is used on a 550 also?
  9. Try and see if the screw inside the frame that holds the Mag release is loose. I had this happen when I first got my SP-01 Shadow and once I retighten the screw it never happened again. It is the screw that holds the Mag release and siprng for trigger bar.
  10. Here is where it says it is Production Legal read ? http://oakhillguns.com/pistol/cz-usa/cz-75-sp01-custom-accu-shadow-match-9mm-srts-high-grip.html
  11. I have been using VV N340 for 20 years for 9mm,40 S&W ,45 ACP and 357 and it works great in all little slower burning for some but for me is a do all powder.Us N350 for 38 S Comp.
  12. I have a SP-01 Accu Match that I sighted in at 15 yards. It was shooting about 3 inches high at that distance. It came with a 6.5 mm or .195 high.According to CZC and the Dawson app I put the CZC 7.5mm which is .235 high and shoots dead on at 15 yards. The app at Dawson works great !!
