My feed lips needed tuning out of the box. For some reason I occasionally get a last round that goes straight up into the barrel hood. Anyone have clue why? I'm thinking it is probably due to the rounds in shooting being short, they were originally loaded for another gun at 1.14"

My wife started me on this bad habit with a small desktop humidor. I hate that I now have two full humidors at over 100 cigars and that I never have enough time to smoke them. I also hate making the decision on which to smoke. I also hate the winter because I smoke less cigars. Thankfully it's warm in South Carolina right now, warm enough for one tonight.

I picked up a powertac e5 at a gun show 4 years ago with a rechargeable battery kit for around $100. I'm a building inspector and use it daily. Sometimes I even use the bezel to chip weld slag. Very often I use it to open beer. Point being, my Streamlights all had problems within a year, I have used this daily for years without a hitch. Highly recommend.

Thanks for the replies. He has a lot of info on his website. What I've gleaned from emails with him and from reading their website is that they are out to teach people how to reach out far with what they have, not necessarily with an f class rig. Part of the class is building your range card, but I'll try to get out and at least reach out to 500 yards a few times before I go. Very much appreciate the responses

Thanks. I worked up some loads this weekend but I think my chrono was acting up with the sun light. Got some more work to do with them. I do have a bipod and rear bag, gonna pick up another as I found I didn't have enough height with one.

I'm taking a long range class with my dad this spring (Bang Steel). Neither of us have ever shot that far out. We've gotten pretty much everything they recommend. I'm shooting a savage 10 fp in 308 and my dad is shooting a savage 11 LRH in 6.5 creedmoor. I don't have a brake on the gun, he does. Does anyone have any good general advice for general gear, techniques, learning, etc? I know it's a vague question, but I'll take what I can glean from anyone experienced.

I'm lucky to have a range in my back yard. I try to put a few half mags down range and reload a few times to get the jitters down. If I can't do that, I'll do a little bit of dry fire, and course some at the safe area to make sure everything is in place
