  1. Yes. The trigger safety was catching on mine unless I pressed the trigger with my finger low on the trigger. Decided to back out the adjustment screw 1/4 turn, and now it works perfectly. I'll run it that way at tomorrow's match and then see if I can reduce some of the clearance by adjusting it back in a bit. Might take a bit of time, but it could be worth it. As it is, it runs fine and I should probably stop obsessing and just shoot it.
  2. The first thing to try is putting in the red spring.
  3. Yup, that did it. Combination of a stronger punch and a hammer got the pin out. Thanks again.
  4. Thanks. I ordered the punch set from Home Depot and will give it a try when it comes in.
  5. Got in my JG trigger shoe for the Timney trigger. Tried to remove the Timney trigger shoe but couldn't get it off. Used a punch from both sides of the shoe, but no movement at all, just bent the punch. FWIW I've removed a regular Glock trigger shoe before with no problem. Okay, what am I missing here?
  6. One thing you might try is the Volquartsen magazine springs. Made my Mark IV run much more reliably.
  7. Yes, that’s all I’ve gotten so far after a few days.
  8. Yeah, Dawson all the way. Get sight sets with an adjustable rear sight to dial in zero, plus spare fiber optic rods. Replacing rods is easy, and makes a difference if your front sight has accumulated dirt.
  9. I put one in my CCF pistol. The trigger worked, but the CCF didn't seem all that much better. May try to put it back in, just for the hell of it.
  10. Hmmm. I'm glad you asked, because the problem was that it doesn't seem to like cartridges loaded short. I tried using a COAL of 1.105, and it worked fine. Don't know what the optimum length is, or what would be a reasonable range, but it can be made to work reliably.
  11. The GMR 13 is currently set up with the Taccom 10/16 barrel and bolt. With that combination hollow points don't work. For whatever reason, with that barrel they don't load properly. My *guess* is that it's something to do with the feed ramp, but it's only a guess, and I don't care enough to spend the time to figure out why. They *did* work with the JP barrel. Don't know what the difference is, and I'm fine with just avoiding HPs with it. The barrel is that nice.
  12. ETA: in the JP PCC it doesn't like hollow points. I assume theywould work if I had the top feed ramp installed, but that's not compatible with the JP lower (magazine is held higher than with my Stern Defense adapter and bumps into the feed ramp).
  13. Sorry, forgot to ask - what powder and bullets are you using?
  14. And you can't ask for better support than I got. Talked to Tim for around 20 minutes to go over what should be done to get it working. Now I have to figure out what bullet and powder to use. The saga continues...
  15. With Tim's help I removed enough of the feed ramp to work with the JP lower. Ran the gun with 115 gr. and 147 gr. bullets, including hollow points, using both fast and slow powders, and it ate everything. Nice barrel.
  16. Thanks, I'll give it to a gunsmith to grind off the feed ramp, then put it on the JP. Will continue to use my old Taccom 14.5" carbon fiber barrel with the AR15.
  17. I just got a Taccom 10/16 barrel, and it runs the best of anything I've tried so far. One, ahem, minor issue is that the bottom feed ramp blocks my glock magazines from being fully inserted (had to test the barrel by feeding rounds one at a time into the chamber). I have a JP GMR13 and an AR15 with a Stern magazine adapter, and with the ramped barrel in use neither will load a magazine. So far I've been using unramped barrels, mainly older Taccom ones, successfully, but would like to make the 10/16 my main choice. I think I've got two possible solutions: - find a magazine adapter that will work with the ramped barrel, or - have a gunsmith grind off the ramp Any other suggestions? For any of you that use ramped barrels, what are you using for a lower or magazine adapter?
  18. One PCC is a JP, so the upper is, well, a JP. The other is an AR-15 with an Angstadt Arms upper. Both accept the side charger. Originally had a Taccom3g upper on the AR-15, but it's not mil spec so it wouldn't work there.
  19. I have a DD side charger on both of my PCCs. It’s easier to use than the standard charging handle and marginally faster. Helps with unloaded starts and required mag changes (IDPA). Nice, but not critical. .
  20. By "break" I simply meant starting to double. A lot. It was working correctly before the match, and had a fair number of rounds through it. Didn't start doubling until about half way through the match, and continued to get worse as the day went on. Not fun to start dumping rounds in an Area match. In order to retest I'd have to set up the buffer, then run hundreds of rounds through it. Too much time and ammo for the results with this buffer compared to what I'm using now. Just did a 5 stage IDPA match, and was down 6 for the match. Almost every target was down zero using quick double taps. For me at least it wouldn't be worth the effort and expense to keep trying to tune it.
