I wouldnt lighten them at all. You wont notice the difference once the timer beeps! IMO, your biggest problem is switching platforms right before a match, especially moving from a heavy all steel gun to polymer. That plastic gun will dance all over compared to the cz. I have the shell plate and primer shuttle removed. It feels like its hanging up on the surface between the main ram and the drive shaft. No lube points that I can see. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

Tell me more about this? My only squib ever came about when my powder measure unlocked and got pushed up instead of dropping a charge in one case before I noticed. Now I check it every time I refill the primer tube but if there's a permanent fix I'd be happy!Also, Hornady (and RCBS) CS have been great to me too. They don't brag about No BS but they sure deliver on it. Just wanted to share some love about Hornady CS this morning. I broke a shell plate pawl on my LNL yesterday (totally my fault, I forced it instead of loosening the shell plate to remove a case with a partially seated primer). I just called Hornady and they are dropping two new pawls in the mail today at no charge. Well done I couldnt ask for more. To be honest I wouldn't have had an issue with paying for them. I am thinking I have worn out my first trigger bar spring. Today during a practice session i suddenly lost my DA trigger pull. It was as if the safety were on, but SA was normal. After removing the grips and playing around with the gun, I was able to get the DA to work by lifting the trigger bar ever-so-slightly, or I could just nudge the hammer back a hair and the trigger bar would raise and engage. That is your problem. Or rather, you are not drying your cases well enough before reloading, and the residue moisture is killing your primers. I ran into this exact issue after I started wet tumbling. It cost me a barrel. Dont make the same mistake. I started using the FA dryer from MidwayUSA, and never had the issue again. You think? I let them dry on a towel for at least 24 hours before reloading. I will say this, i used to punch the primers before cleaning, but i went back to cleaning before primer removal a couple months ago. I wonder if the lack of that hole is slowing the drying process? I will try drying the cases in the oven and see if that helps. These have been decapped, leaving a primer in will take even longer. Now that its summer, I dry them on a wire mesh table I built outside. Winter time 2 hrs at 230 in the oven usually does the job. You were right on the mark about the moisture. I broke out my dehydrator and PRESTO the problem disappeared. I didnt have this problem over the winter, I am thinking that with the really dry air over winter they dried just fine. With the arrival of humidity to northern Ohio, I found the weak point in my system the hard way.I owe you a beer if we ever meet! Now I just have to burn up about 500 suspect rounds.
