  1. Ballots arrived in Kentucky today but as of last night still had not made it to shooters in California but had reached Arizona. Do we have a great post office or what? Charles Bond I doubt the problem is the Post Office. The two old ladies licking the envelopes can only go so fast.

  3. >>which does not give us an accurate answer as to "what would they have shot the Nationals were limited to one division each?"<< I'm pretty sure that if the Nationals were one Division each, then everyone in each Nationals would shoot in the same Divison.
  4. Keeps it out of the way when taking the left hand grip.
  5. The outside. The work done on the internals has been known to bring tears of joy to grown men.
  6. Keal pistols are works of art.
  7. Judge is completely out of bounds. Last chance for headlines for an old judge put on the sidelines years ago for good reason.
  8. I got a drill from Frank Garcia years ago that helped me. Set up a popper or plate (or paper plate if no steel available) and a paper target oriented to one side or the other a couple of yards away from the popper/plate. Set the time with a par value of, say, two seconds. One the first beep draw and hit the popper/plate. Then take a sight picture on the cocked paper target and engage at the second beep. You can play with the interval and put in additional paper and popper/plate targets to engage between the beeps. Give yourself enough time to take a solid sight picture on the cocked paper before that second beep. Teaches the importance of the last shot before the swinger and the importance of a solid sight picture on the swinger.
  9. Thanks to all that replied. Awaiting my prescription glasses.
  10. And after that visit and my new glasses, will the dot be a dot again? Surely someone here has shot open before and after distance correction eyeglasses.
  11. Shooting Open now, the dot is misshapen. My distance vision is not what it used to be. If I get my distance vision corrected, will the dot become a dot again? Thanks.
  12. BDavis Sever the USPSA relationship before you change the match. The USPSA can always put on their own SS Nationals.
  13. Open and Single Stack in 45. Gives each stage an entirely different look and strategy. L10 and Production are the same thing. Full out Limited and Open are almost the same thing.
  14. Looking for a gunsmith to do a grip reduction/beavertail on a Glock in FLORIDA. Thanks.
  15. So then, is the tape on the grip and under the trigger guard presently allowed under the Rules?
  16. Looked in Rules, cannot find reference. Is grip tape permitted in Single Stack... on the grip? under the trigger guard? Thanks
  17. Thanks especially to Jake and PB. You have been very helpful.
  18. The mag lies flat, bullets away from body, opening away from body.
  19. Another question on this subject. The two mag pouches on the front of my belt from which I do almost all of my open reloads have the opening where the index finger goes down on the mag body away from my body. IOW, the bullets are pointing away from my body. This puts the withdrawn mag right in line with the magwell. I have seen other shooters with the open space on top and the bullets pointed up. I am now thinking that perhaps the "on top" opening might be better because the left hand can go straight down to the grasping position. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks.
  20. Thanks. I should be able to get in 3000 before midnight.
  21. Set up on target and react to a beep? With a par time? When Jake first told me this 16 months ago, I thought "What the hell?!?" 16 months later, the man was 100% right. Through refinement and repetition (hmmm...sounds like a killer book I know of )(Link to the greatest training book ever!) smoothness will come. Smooth is fast. I do the Anderson book drills. Very helpful. Everything has improved drastically but the reload speed. But I seldom fling a mag across the range anymore.
  22. Full deal or the Burkett drills?
  23. Open pistol. I've seen countless sub one second reloads, some way sub, in drill videos etc. I cannot get below a 1.4 seonds on an El Prez (in a 5.2 range) for the life of me. Feels fast to me. When it feels really really fast, I get the occasional 1.3. Is the reload time portion out of whack? Is the sub one second reload just very had to do? Thanks
