  1. vio pov.1 for the headcam and a sanyo xacti for the handheld
  2. click image to play Flash Video Awesome match at SWPL IPSC 11-23-08. Eight stages including a jungle run down a canyon recently cleared by the fire. The match director even came out of retirement to shoot. http://madtrigger.com/videos/11-23-08/dave/player_0.html
  3. click image to play Flash Video Excellent match again at X3. Did something a little different for the video as it has the full stage diagrams too. The diagrams are a little small but I'm trying to format a templete to work on most peoples screens. I have a bunch of HD video that I took with my new HD camcorder too, but my computer which I thought was pretty bad @ss is too weak sauce to edit it down to a format I can get on the net. Too many artifacts and other garbage. I think I figured it out for next match. No full 1080p but I'm thinking 720i would work. I don't know I might be able to salvage some of it. If not then those I took videos of I'll get you a DVD because I made you guys look good! Did not video the long range rifle stages as they just don't work well for the net. You see the shooter taking a long time shooting small targets you can't see.
  4. Charlie Vanek does a good trigger job I ran one for several years. SJC also does a nice trigger job. Trigger jobs for the glock have come a long way. The glockworx fulcrum trigger is different in that you have a ergonomically correct billet aluminum trigger. The trigger and safety are wider and the safety is completely flush when depressed. It's got a real spring for the safety and not the plastic toothpick that provides tension on the glock safety. The over travel and pretravel is completely adjustable, reset is super short, and the big this is that the trigger resets and breaks positive. It does not feel like there are rubber bands in the trigger like the stock trigger. Weight is adjustable with connectors and springs from 2 lbs to 3 lbs. Depending on slide to frame fit your trigger can be sub 2 lbs. I honestly can't feel or see a difference between 1 lbs and 2 lbs when under the timer. I can tell the difference in trigger reset though. Needs to reset and break at the same points each time. If you buy a glockworx trigger, shoot it for 30 days. If you don't think it meets your expectation I'll refund you minus the shipping.
  5. For the past 4 years on the 2nd sunday of November the sun, planet, and moon aligns and it is possible to shoot 3 matches in a single day. You actually have your choice of either palm springs steel, rockpile steel, and the lesa night match. We used to call this the So. Cal Ironman but this year I'm renaming to the the CA Triple Crown (so not to be confused with the MGM Ironman I'm shooting in Idaho next year.) This year I opted to shoot the LdF 3 Gun match down near san diego, then the Lesa Day match, then the Lesa Night match. The night match is a flashlight and weapon light match that is a lot of fun. Unfortunately it does not video well. So instead I got video from the LdF USPSA match from satuday. That's right 4 matches in one weekend. click image to play Flash Video click image to play Flash Video click image to play Flash Video
  6. I must admit I almost/could of caused something similar. I was RO'ing another shooter at a local 3 gun match. The shooter was having problems with his rifle. After his run I look in the chamber and thought the rifle was cleared. The shooter being a safe guy went to a gunsmith who was also shooting in the squad. The gunsmith was inspecting the rifle working the bolt back and forth and out pops a live round. I was embarassed and nearly crapped myself when I heard. We all talked about the situation and the wrong doing was all on me. Although it is more difficult to see a 223 in the chamber of a AR you really have to look all that much more carefully. I for sure look much much more carefully now, as well as everyone at that range now. Thank god the smith and shooter in question still followed safe gun handling rules and continuing to treat the rifle "as if it was loaded", kept it pointed in a safe direction, and re-checked the chamber before doing anything else with it. At some matches they finish and show clear procedure involves showing clear, dropping the bolt, dry firing into the berm, then looking the bolt back. Might not be a bad idea to standize this for 3 gun/multi gun.
  7. Rolled up to bakersfield a day early before their shotgun blast match. Figured I would brave the rain and shoot some ipsc. It was pouring and sprinkling off and on. Got pretty wet, figured out a whole bunch more about being prepared for a "wet" match. Good learning experience. As I was shooting I was thinking this would be a great video for some sort of "rain" soundtrack. So here it is. click image to play video 3mb wmv
  8. I got some new software for my shooting videos. Please check it out and let me know if there are any issues. I hope you enjoy it. click image to play Flash video
  9. Doing my videos in flash now. The 3 gun video has picture in picture at the end. Shot kind of sloppy but not bad considering what I had to drink the night before. click image to play Flash video click image to play Flash Video
  10. click image to play video 11mb wmv Really overcast today. It actually rained after we finished the match. The videos came out kind of dark and I think I might of over did it a little bit running filters to try to brighten it. I think the filters plus the file compression to get it small enough to put on the net hurt the video quality a little. I'm still working on a flash format that I'm happy with. Hopefully next videos will be in flash.
  11. The triggers come pre adjustaed and you can drop them in and shoot them. We recommend that you shoot them as is for a month then make adjustements from there. We now have video on the glockworx site for the installation and adjustement. Trigger pulll is 1.5 - 2lbs depending on your slide to frame fit, and after a short break in period. They lighten up a little more after 100 - 200 rounds.
  12. click image to play video 9mb wmv Getting better with the POV.1 headcam. This thing was really worth the money.
  13. The feel of the reset can be adjusted. I like mine very positive. Alec likes his trigger real light. The gun at ammobros is one of alec's
  14. Lawman why don't you order one and shoot the piss out of it for a month and if you don't like it I'll give you a full refund minus shipping.
  15. go to www.demooner.com he has a cool 8 stick tube holster. He doesn't have any pictures on his site. I can take a picture of mine tommrow.
  16. Seems to be working. Are you on a windows PC. It's a 24 mb windows media file. You can also try right clicking the image and select "save target as". This will save it to your computer. You'll have to remember where you saved it on your computer and click the icon.
  17. streetlight manifesto - point/counterpoint Yeah I need to get used to the higher magnification of the scope.
  18. Upgraded to a POV/1 headcam, also upgraded my video software. Quality of the video is pretty good even after I compressed it for the net. The full size avi is amazing. The new video software lets me do more stuff with overlays. I did a short picture in picture at the end but it was a pain in the butt to link the videos correctly. Probably just need more practice. I got it close but not perfect. click image to play video 24mb wmv
  19. This isn't Jack but since I webmaster the X3 site I'm qualified to answer. Yes there will be a match in august. The results page is current. You have to click on the thumbnails to see the individual monthly results. http://x3multigun.com/index.php?option=com...7&Itemid=29
  20. If your only doing 131 PF you could try a 11 lbs recoil spring.
  21. Light strikes with aftermarket triggers usually happen one of two ways. The first is that the safety plunger or the birds head of the trigger bar have been polished or ground down too far. This causes the plunger not to fully depress and the striker will bind on it slightly as it goes by. The trick is to bevel just edges of the plunger so that it retains it's full height. On the birds head just polish it, or change the angle but retain the height. The second is the use of lightened strikers with reduced power striker springs. This combination will get light strikes in about 20% of glocks. In this case go back to a factory striker.
  22. Stage Diagrams for the 6-14-08 match are up on www.x3multigun.com You need to be a registered user on x3multigun, logged in, and follow the links to see the stages.
